White table cloth food

The food here is some of the best on the coast. It is not the usual beach fare. The setting is an old house and charming. The chef and family live above. There is a nice porch on the front and a patio out back. Brunch on Sunday is a treat and the mini scones they give at the start... read more

We brought my mom to the Sycamore House to celebrate her birthday with brunch. We expected a quaint Southern atmosphere where we could visit and enjoy each other's company. We were a party of 5, and had a reservation for 1:00 on a Sunday. We arrived promptly at 1:00 and when we checked in, the hostess explained they were run... More

Another return trip and perfection. Yes from the friendly service, to include Chef Michael dropping by the table, it's hard to compare to any local dinning. The filet with garlic butter compound and the home made coffee ice cream you just can't stop enjoying from start to finish.

We have eaten here many times and it is run by a husband and wife who live above it he is the ex chef and she does the pastries. I had the blackened fish and my wife had the super scallops. The taco soup was absolutely outstanding really a 5 star for this area and super consistent

Return visit after at least a decade. Charming interior and delightful dining experience. Fresh salad, fresh gulf fish especially trout amandine along with a decent tenderloin. Wine selection also adequate. Expect a much quicker return.

For more than 12 years, I've always enjoyed this restaurant. Great food, but VERY LIMITED wine list. Great service. Comfortable atmosphere. However, after more than 12 years with the same menu selections, it is well overdue to change things up a bit. Since Hurricane Katrina, a common problem with Mississippi Gulf Coast restauranteurs is they fail to recognize the majority... More

The Sycamore House is a local favorite for a break from the hustle and bustle of the waterfront "scene." Relaxing and serene interior. Attentive wait staff. Good selection of entrees and nightly specials - that include a "Sushi Night." Pizzas are outstanding and often they run out of them - they are that good. If you need a break from... More

No dislikes. Food was excellent. Will be back in March. Plan to try the NY pizza. We now live in East TX. Katrina took everything in Diamond, MS. We are so glad that the Bay has come back!

From gormet pizza or the finest cut of beef this is a must stop while on the Gulf Coast. A 100 year old home built around fine dining, great porch for cocktails .

We tried to have dinner at Sycamore House. We did not have reservations. The hostess was very nice and explained that although there were plenty of tables available, because of a large party ( about 20) they were not able to seat us or take our order for one hour. I assume the party had prior reservations as the seating... More
