Family style...

You'll find foods you recognize on this menu. No surprises, much like family style chain restaurants you'd find on the highway...better decor!

For years I've dined at Timbers on my annual trip to Winona. But this year was way different. Service inattentive and a bit rude. Drinks were only refilled if someone was flagged down. The salad bar (the reason we came) was disgusting. The lettuce was brown around the edges and the other items were getting crusty on the top in... More

battered Walleye was very good. Filet mignon was tender. Hash browns were crispy as I requested. Side salads were good. Very slow service

We ate an early supper at Timbers. The food was great. The wait staff is friendly, the food comes out hot, and I recommend the broasted chicken. We boxed up what we couldn't eat, and enjoyed the chicken cold, a few hours later.

I really hate to have to give a bad rating, but it just wasn't up to snuff. Took a while to get seated (and it was not busy). Overall it seemed like it could use a good cleaning up. We had the hot open faced roast beef sandwich, which wasn't all that hot and bread seemed stale. It was ok.... More

Take a break from driving! Getting here is an easy detour from Highway 61 (take Huff Street to 3rd) while passing around the periphery of Winona State University's beautiful campus. A decent breakfast with friendly service. We found the Sunday Breakfast Buffet a bit spendy at $9.99, so we each ordered our meals from the menu for around $5 each... More

I have only eaten breakfast here and have never been disappointed. It is a basic restaurant menu with the normal breakfast choices. The staff is nice and they keep the coffee coming.

We had breakfast here with another couple who live in Winona and recommended Timbers. There is a new bridge being constructed near here so they weren't very busy. The waitress never smiled once, barely spoke on her visits to the table even though the place was almost vacant of other customers. We had to grab silverware bundles from the neighboring... More

We had shrimp and prime rib the shrimp was battered and not fried all the way. The prime rib was So dry pretty sure it was cooked in the microwave. Our waitress was great and took the prime rib off the bill. Still wouldn't go back though.
