Things have changed at Slippery's.

Something is different at Slippery's, and it's good. Having eaten here several times over the past few years, I wasn't impressed, till late last year, we had a great meal, and fine service. We've been back several times this year and LOVE the clam chowder, house made, on fish Friday. Delish. It's... read more

Stopped and had dinner. Service wasn't very good and there were only 6 people there and 2 of the 6 were only drinking. Food wasn't very good either. Kind of a let down.jûj

Don't expect to see the Slippery's from the movies, but make sure you stop in and have something to eat. My burger was great, over sized so I took 1/2 home. The coleslaw was excellent. I asked for a cup of hot water as it was so cold and the waitress brought me a glass of hot water with a... More

Right on the edge of the edge of the river, we imagine it would be lovely in nicer weather. Service was great, prices more than reasonable. My husband said his Philly was excellent, my burger was also very, very good. The desserts tasted good but mine was just two slices of what seemed to be SaraLee poundcake with strawberries and... We found out after traveling all the way to Wabasha, that Slippery's is closed until February when they have their Grumpy Old Men Festival. The place from the outside looks like the Italian restaurant form the Grumpy Old Man 2, not so much like Slippery's from the movie. Too bad we couldn't see the inside or try the food. Has... More

Everything about our visit was average. Service, food, environment. Is nice to be on the river and also pull up to the dock in the summer.

And we were pleasantly surprised. The sausage appetizer w/ raspberry jelly, cream cheese, and crusty bread was wonderful. My wife had the Baby Red potato app, and it was also delicious. Plenty of GOM merch to buy if you're a fan. Great view of the river. We will stop again for the food on our next trip.

This was my wife's and my first time having supper here. We weren't disappointed. Dawn had shrimp and I had a modified jambalaya dish. My jambalaya was spose to be on rice but I asked for it on pasta. Nice and spicy. Good flavor. My only critique is the dish was watery instead of a nice sauce. The creamy soup... More

The service was very good and I love that it's on the river. It has an interesting history on the back of the menu. The walleye sandwich was very good. I recommend checking it out. It's one of the scenes in the movie Grumpy Old Men.

We hit Slippery's on a sunny weekday for lunch and ordered basic dishes. I had the stew and my wife had the chicken salad. Neither one was memorable. We did enjoy the atmosphere and the service was outstanding.
