Delicious Bread pudding!

Super crowded and busy due to MS tram riders coming thru town on the Monday we were there. We waited quite awhile for our food. Once we got the sandwiches, it was worth the wait! Tasty and the wheat bread was fantastic! I ate here many years ago and remembered the bread pudding.....still delicious... read more

A truly unexpected, excellent dinner. A nice variety of dishes with daily specials, and a variety of drink choices. Service was excellent. Indoor & outdoor seating available.

We went here for a family breakfast, and were seated in the center of the building on rock-hard chairs and left there for an hour after ordering. After getting the waitress's attention to ask how much longer for our food, she went to ask the cook and returned saying it would be just a few minutes. Thirteen minutes after that... More

We stop at this restaurant because of the other trip advisor reviews. It was a decent breakfast. The wait was long, the coffee could've been more hot, but the food was good. They have a great vanilla bean butter that they put on the pancakes. Their eggs Benedict were great, my husband's breakfast quesadilla wasn't anything special. But it's conveniently... More

We were there one evening when I was very tired, and I didn't notice anything special about this restaurant. It just seemed average. But one morning we went for breakfast, and I realized just how wonderful it is. Have the wild rice porridge. It was amazing! Everything on their breakfast menu looked great. Also, they had a wide variety of... More

Missed Betty's Pies because we didn't realize it was a restaurant until it was too late so checked Trip Advisor while driving along and found Vanilla Bean. Yes. It is as good as others say. Good Reuben with a side of apple-pecan baked beans. Only complaint were their kettle fries, which were very oily. So much so they left excess... More

We arrived shortly after 1 pm. The place wasn't chaotic busy nor slow. We were seated in the upstairs dining area, the hostess said that our server would be right with us. 15 minutes went by without a server stopping at our table to offer to get us drinks. Within that 15 minutes, 2 of the 3 servers that I... More

A friend recommended this place and it obviously has a loyal following because it was full during our late breakfast. Instead of the porridge that my friend suggested I opted instead for a salmon omelet, which I should have sent back, but didn't. It was way overdone with scorched edges. Because I was hungry I ate half of it, but... More

The kids wanted the grown up mac n cheese, and I wanted them to share it because I was afraid it would be too big. It WAS big, but they loved it so much, they ate it all! I enjoyed a delicious salad. Service was great! It was a nice spot to stop on the way home from Gooseberry Falls.... More

I have been here before but only for breakfast. This was the first time I have tried their dinners. Breakfasts were very good. Their special on Wed. is ribs that are advertised as fall of the bone good. Service was slow and when the ribs came after an hour wait they were very burned and could not be cut with... More
