John Beargrease headquarters were there during the 3 day race--room for Headquarters computer updates and HAM radio. We had free coffee and pop. I personally had Hamburger with home made chips, Wild Rice soup, and a lunch special Burger. Everyone that ate there was impressed and food great and service awesome. The servers checked on us to make sure we... More

I plan tour group trips. When I planned my trip to the Duluth area for this month, I knew I couldn't take a trip up there without stopping at the Vanilla Bean. The staff were amazing to work with and the food was amazing. My whole group raved about the food the entire trip. Thank you to Jason and the... More

We were surprised to find such a gem in the small town of Two Harbors. The staff was very accommodating, allowing us to change tables so we could have a nice view. Breakfast was great with good coffee. Overall, we felt lucky for such a find!

Wow, I had the Castle Danger Hash and it was fantastic. I also sampled my Dad's cranberry and wild rice french toast, it too was incredible. It was very busy (Sunday morning) but we were seated in a reasonable amount of time. The serving staff did a great job, but looked a little overwhelmed. Overall though, a great experience. Next... Arrived for lunch on a cold, rainy, foggy day. Ordered the soup, their specialty was the Chicken Wild Rice soup. It was very tasty and brothy, but the soup was cold. Was looking forward to it being hot...hot!! Also ordered the baked beans with apples and pecans, tasty...but again they were cold. The specialty burger was good , but just... More

1. Diet cokes were all flat (no carbonation). 2. Squash soup tasted/had the consistency of pumpkin pie filling, and was not hot. 3. Beef pasty was warm on the outside and frozen on the inside.
