Server (Melanie) was just the nicest person! Recommended the dishes we ordered and the food was excellent! Arrived hot and delicious, and really set the tone for a great vacation. I enjoyed the fact that they make use of local produce. The wild rice cranberry bread was awesome!

This is a good restaurant if you want a great omelet. Enjoyed the Happy Camper omelet which is oven-baked. Filled the plate and tasted great. Came with whole-grain toast and homemade rhubarb jam which was very, very good. Would eat here again when in the area.

We stopped here, my friend and I, on our motorcycles after riding 200 miles on our way to thunder bay Ontario. The cafe has a warm feel to it and is nicely decorated. The music was from the 30's and 40's, which we thought was splendid. The hot chocolate and coffee were very good and so was my loggers breakfast... More

We stopped here for lunch after visiting several North Shore state parks. It's cute, clean and informal with enough lunch menu items to get you through to dinner. The dinner menu is much different and with more entree oriented items including fish. Service was tentative and accommodating. A sign on the parking lot wall indicated a new owner - but... More

Stopped here for breakfast based on reviews and we were not disappointed. Seated immediately and good service and food followed shortly. Price overall is good and portions are filling. Overall an average breakfast with friendly service.

Stopped for a quick lunch with my daughter while on vacation and enjoyed a great bowl of soup! Had the award winning wild rice soup which was delicious. Service was fast and friendly. On our next trip we will try breakfast there.

I stopped in late morning for breakfast and it was a busy place! The hostess sat us right away and got us drinks. Our server was a nice gal and provided good service. We had to wait a few minutes for our bill once finished with our meal but as I did it was busy and for as busy as... More

Our lunch was fine. But we might have done just as well with the big new Subway across the street. Most of the menu items were meat focused.

We love the Vinalla Bean and we stop there a lot when we are in Knife River or on our way to GM. Their food is excellent, well prepared and they have specialty coffees too!
