lost in a snowstorm!

We came up the Dixie Saloon while snowmobiling through a white out storm this past winter. Thankfully we did because we were lost and needed to get our bearings...they were very helpful and provided maps and some drinks to us. Sorry we didn't eat, but know the staff is very accomadating.

We went for the fish fry and they were sold out which was a disappointment. The meal I chose was the salmon and it was very poor.

We decided to eat here on our recent trip to Two Harbors, There were five of us, and all of us agreed the food tasted great. This is a nice little bar/restaurant, and we would definetely stop and eat here again if we are in the area. They also have Buffalo and Elk Burgers which are different and 2 in... More

Seems like they only welcome local people. We waited ages and the food was nasty and the smell of grease stuck to my clothes for ages after. Locals shouted their conversations over our heads which was beyond rude, but this is Two Harbors after all.

This place is cool. Its up the road from Two Harbors and the locals will be happy to point the way. Its like a small town bar for fisherman and snowmobilers, but with fantastic food. I kind of picture the bar in Sicily, Alaska on Northern Exposure when we first discovered the place a year ago on a trip to... More

We had been there before and had the elk burger. So when we went there again we were really looking forward to having it again. But they didn't have elk. They were trying to get it, so maybe next time. We had the bison burger and that was almost as good.

At first look, the Dixie looks like a nice little restaurant, but looks can be deceiving. Not only did it take forever to get our food, but it also gave my whole family food poisoning. If you're looking for a nice place to eat, don't make it the Dixie, unless you like puking your guts out.

Very good all you can eat fish fry, large portions, friendly owners. Great place to stop on a snowmobiling trip, right off the trail. Lots of parking, gasoline, and now a liquor store...very nice place. Good food!!!

The Friday fish fry was great and the atmosphere and service were fabulous. There was a model train running that was soooo fun to watch for the kids and adults. It was tough to find an open table.
