I ordered the steak and throught it was super good, even loved the ceasar salad that came with it! I thought It was a little expensive for a 9oz steak, but it was super good and done perfect! My fiance got the bull bites and he hasn't stopped raving about them. I even tried a bite and thought they were... More

Four of us stopped for a late lunch April 13th. When we arrived there was only one other table occupied. After we placed our order quite a few more people came in. There was only one waitress serving the whole restaurant. My husband ordered their Margharita Pizza. We were waiting forever and the waitress came out and said they had... More

We thought it sounded like a good place to try while we were visiting Two Harbors. We had lunch. We were the only ones there. I had the hot turkey sandwich on recommendation of the waitress. It was the worse I have ever had anywhere. The gravy looked and tasted like a bottled gravy from the grocery store...thick and VERY... More

Friendly place, welcoming host and wait staff, and comfortable seating and table. This is somewhat off-season so very few people were there. We ordered steak dinners and both were on the tough side. We brought it to the waitress' attention who said she would tell the chef. That was the end of it. We would have appreciated a discount on... More

Well, Blackwoods Bar and Grill are a favorite. When we go to Duluth/North Shore we never miss Betty's Pies OR Blackwoods Bar and Grill. They are a chain restaurant, but they get it right! We love the casual but chic dining style, the great menu and the crustini appetizer is our favorite! We have eaten at both the Duluth and... More

A comfortable setting inside allowed for pleasant conversation between my wife and I. The service was friendly and efficient. The menu items we selected were only average standard fare. We didn't leave hungry; but it wasn't a memorable experience. I am writing this only three months after the fact, and I can't remember what either of us had to eat.

While not spectacular, the food was tasty and well-prepared. We both had burgers which were juicy and decently cooked (medium ~ not shoe leather). I got a a drink called "Lake Superior Blue" which is beautiful, albeit tooth-achingly sweet. It tastes like a melted blue raspberry slushy. Atmosphere is midway between upscale family place and supper club. Acoustics were good... More

As a musician I am very sensitive to music and for me it can make or break a dining experience. Music should be non-descript instrumental music that serves to relax, add warmth to the mood and above all not distract your focus from the people you are with. In nearly all places I go the music is completely inappropriate and... More

After reading mixed reviews on here, we gave it a shot. Not really busy on Thursday night. We were promptly seated. Our drinks came quickly. I had the Lake Trout amantadine, it was excellent. I couldn't finish the baked potato...it was huge. My wife had the meatloaf and loved it, too. I would definitely come back!
