Went with friends for a quiet night out. What a great little gem , hidden in the back blocks of Balwyn. It is small so you need to book but the atmosphere is great and the service very good The food was excellent, especially the Orange and Grand Marnier Souffle for desser - this was to die for. The waitress... More

What a lovely restaurant! Friendly staff and a great place on a cold winters night with a roaring open fireplace. Nice menu with an extensive list of specials. Our favourite local place to eat.

Domenic's Restaurant is BYO & the type of place you can always rely on and take people, knowing nothing is going to surprise you and you'll never be disappointed. The menu rarely changes & the food is excellent & the staff who have been there for many years, Christina & Julia are excellent waitresses & know how to 'strut their... More

The staff are fantastic and lovely, the food always perfect, cozy, romantic, our favourite place. Melbourne has a many restaurants and we eat out a lot, but there is nothing else around like Domenic's. It is brilliant.

Domenic's Restaurant in North Balwyn - wonderful BYO in the burbs. Visit in winter and share an open fire with succulent food including duck and terrific steaks and fish. But leave room for the desserts, at least two different soufflé's were offered on the night we went [chocolate being the favourite] plus other great dessert dishes. The attentive service is... More

A group of us ate at Domenic's on a Friday evening. Although our booking was for 7 pm the restaurant was already full, probably as it tends to cater for an older crowd. The restaurant is BYO wine and we were quickly served some herb bread and plain bread and butter and our orders taken. We drank our wine and... More

A credit to the staff. We found them very accommodating. However you like it, whatever variations you choose, you couldn't fault their attentive service. The classic simplicity of the menus appeals. I experienced that rare occasion when the eyes were over ruling the stomach. I would have liked to try the salmon, scallopini, whiting, lamb, chicken, fillet mignon, but settled... More

We had the duck and the veal both served in a first class presentation...Word of warning...YOU NEED TO BOOK....almost full... More

We were looking for a French restaurant and urbanspoon popped this one up...lucky to make booking as it was FULL....unfortunately it wasn't very French. However the food w very good. We started with the pâté. Great. Then different mains - duckling (2.5/5) and rack of lamb (4.5/5). Lamb could have been more pink but was certainly tender. Chocolate souffle was... More

A well established family run restaraunt with oldtime favourites like duck a l'orange, carpet bag steak, spaghetti marinara, steak with three mustards, rack of lamb and deep fried camembert. The grand marnier souffles are the best I have had pretty much anywhere. Booking is advisable
