I was with family for my dad's birthday. Everyone loved their meals. I loved the lobster, by the far the best in the area! It does get little busy with how small of a place it is but it's well worth it!

Steaks, Fish, and Greek Food. Okay.. it's a bit hidden off of hwy 36 on the frontage road. But, it's worth it. The food is fresh and delicious. The pricing is reasonable and the service is excellent. With the small dining area, you feel right at home. It can get a bit noisy if the dining area is full, but... More

I eat at Phil's about once a month with my wife. We both love the food. The tables are crowded together and the wood structure does not help to keep the noise down from everyone talking. The food is definitely worth it and going on off nights rather than weekends helps with the crowd and noise. When friends ask for... More

Ate again at Phil's last night. The quality of the food as usual was excellent. Cabin like atmosphere adds to the experience. The prices are also reasonable. They've added some new items which always makes going there interesting.

Great food and service! You can't go wrong with anything on the menu, especially the steak. Can get busy but the service remains awesome and friendly!

steak was just wonderful! but that is all the wonderful things I have to say about the place. This isnt the place if you are looking for anything quiet or quaint. It was super noisy, our server handed us what we needed, but did not hardly say a word. Maybe due to the such high noise level. Bake potato was... More

We were very lucky to walk in and be seated immediately last Saturday night at 7:15. We got the last available table and everyone enjoyed their meal very much. We had great service and a fun evening. The only difficulty was figuring out how to get there, with all the road construction. This obstacle was likely the only reason we... More

We have been going to Phil's for 30 plus years - it is very busy over the dinner hour because they do a wonderful job! Everything on the menu is very-very good - I have had the duck, prime rib, salads, deserts, chicken, chef's choice etc. and it is always excellent. It is a very unique log cabin style -... More

While I live in Arizona, my mission is to dine at Phil's Tara Hideaway every time I am in Minnesota which is 4-6 times a year. It is simply that good! From my first time, I have never been disappointed with the food or the service and I have now been going there for over 15 years. Phil and his... More

Phil's is a bit difficult to access right now due to road construction blocking off the road west of it. But the meal more than made up for the detour! Even though we arrived at prime dinner hour on a Friday night we were seated immediately. Our server was excellent and the bus staff never let an empty dish sit... More
