Right on

Took my girlfriend for her birthday. We both had steak cooked to order. Salads were fresh and excellent. Sizable crowd on a Thursday night yet our service was prompt and very accommodating. We split an excellent chocolaty dessert. My girlfriend had a very tasty Malbec. I did not drink. It was a... read more

This was my first time here and was recommended by a coworker so decided to give it a shot. We had a party of 8 and made reservations a couple weeks in advance. First off this place is hard to find on a dark frontage road. Looks like a log cabin and has a gravel parking lot and not enough... More

We visit Phil's at least once a month, sometimes more. We have been dining here for 30+ years I think. I have never had a problem with any aspect of the place! They always have specials, often really delicious new appetizers as well as entrees. My wife will usually have one of the fish dishes, I like the lamb chops,... More

The food and service here are consistently good. Steaks are perfectly done. The Mediterranean potatoes are very recommended!

We happened to have dinner at the Hideaway last night while it was snowing outside. It was sitting in a little rustic cabin looking out into the woods. Just lovely. The food and service was wonderful - delightful evening.

A restaurant institution by any other standard, Tara's Hideaway is in a non-descript sort of hole in the wall location just off of Highway 36 before you approach the New River Crossing over the St. Croix River. Small bar area with full service. Food is remarkably good with a Mediterranean flair. Very warm and friendly atmosphere, including the staff. Still... More

It was fine. Nothing great or horrible about it. The food was okay but nothing to get excited about, especially for the price. The staff was great though. It was crazy busy and they were on top of it!

My wife loves cosmopolitans and prime rib. Phil's has the best of both, although the prime rib is only served on Friday's and Saturday's. I like going because there's always something new on the menu. I've never been disappointed. For fine dinning, the prices are quite reasonable. You better get there early, especially in the winter, because it's small, very... More
