Large menu, large wine list, reasonable prices.

Looking at th this place from the street it looks like a small log cabin. It's a big log cabin and the food is excellent. This was our 2nd visit and we had Greek chicken, stuffed trout, and steaks. The service was beyond expectations and the prices were so reasonable. On the downside this is not... read more

So my wife and I were looking for a quiet romantic night out and decided to try this place out. Figuring that the food sounded slightly upscale and figuring the atmosphere would be nicer. when we arrived we had a wait of 10 minutes. I am a big guy and the tables are close together...so getting around was fun as... More

My husband and I frequently went to Phil's. Weekends are out due to the crowds and noise but they do accept reservations on weekdays. In the past, the food was excellent and very reasonably priced. Although it is a log cabin, the food was delicious with great sophisticated seafood specials. Last time we went and tonight, we were so disappointed.... More

We had a large group today that HS an early dinner at 430. My wife and I have been to Phil's more than 20 times in then last 5 years and this was the first time I can say I was not thoroughly impressed. Our Lemon Drop and Extra Dry Belvedere Up w a Twist were SPOT on. With our... More

Phil's was recommended to us by the bartender at another restaurant. Wonderful, cozy log cabin atmosphere. Extremely knowledgeable and personable waiter. And an outstanding steak dinner.

We arrived on a Sunday afternoon (we actually had been on our way to Brine's) and we were immediately seated (although every table in the place filled as we ate - got there just in time!) The host was gracious, the server excellent and the food was scrumptious! We had the tenderloin crostini, Gorgonzola burger and the fettuccine w/Parmesan cream.... More

Phil's isn't a real flashy place, but this has truly some of the best meals I have ever had. During peak times there may be a wait, but we are always able to sit down near the bar or hang out in the entry way and have beverage while we wait. Sometimes lucky enough to visit with Phil, himself, during... More

Phil's has been around for years in Stillwater and has survived the bridge construction better than ever. I would say it is crowded rather than "cozy" but others may disagree. Food is first rate and a reasonable value.

Tara offers classic dining options for anyone looking for a bit of a throwback to a simpler time. While the red meat, well prepared along with a baked potatoe would be my suggestion, their tasty Greek selections are also a good choice. Only problem is the noise level that is inevitable due to the popularity of this local favorite.

Phil's Club Tara Hideaway has excellent food in an absolutely wonderful setting. Although some of the dishes are overpriced a bit, the food is consistently superb. Very solid!
