Black Sea is an a great example of a family owned, reasonable priced, long lasting, quite small restaurant that has been around quite a while because of its many strengths. There is a wide range of middle-eastern food available, well prepared, tasty with reasonable prices. There are about 6 tables inside. You are very aware this place is small. Falafel,... More

Black Sea is a tiny hole-in-the-wall family-run Turkish restaurant serving a few simple, authentic Turkish dishes. For my money, their falafel is the best in town, but everything is tasty and inexpensive. Service is speedy and depending on where you sit, you can see your meal being prepared behind the counter. It gets quite busy at lunchtime; you might need... More

Please don't expect fancy. Black Sea is a bare bones restaurant. The decor consists of a TV showing photos of Turkey. I like it. The food is tasty, inexpensive and arrives quickly. I'm so glad they opened another one on County Road E, close to me. The quality depends on who is cooking, and even when it isn't the best,... More

We stopped in for lunch and the place was full. Small and cozy atmosphere made for an enjoyable meal. The service was quick and the food was average but tasty. I ordered falafel which was good but not extremely flavorful. Overall we would go back when we want some Turkish food. They have a decent sized menu and there is... More

I really enjoyed the food at Black Sea. I would make a point of going here for dinner when my ex-girlfriend and I were in the Twin Cities area (she lives in Northern MN). Its small and intimate and the food very tasty.

When the dinner crunch is on and we need tasty food that fits the budget, and is fast and easy to get, Black Sea is our go to place. Last night we had unexpected guests and this food was right on point for everyone!

We went to the Black Sea restaurant in White Bear Lake as a family. The atmosphere is very practical/bare-bones but the service was prompt and friendly. The prices are very reasonable but I would call the food average. I have never been to their original location and after seeing the reviews I wonder if this is as good.

My sister and I spent a couple of years in Turkey when we were growing up, so when she found Black Sea Restaurant, we were both excited. Now, every time we are in the Twin Cities we stop here. The food is delicious! We always get the Doner and an order of hummus; it is the best hummus we have... More

The place is a bit of a dump, but it's a college town. Just squeeze in, find a table and have the doners (chicken, beef, lamb or combo), They're good!

We were looking for new experience in cuisine. This is ethnic food, simple, wholesome, good. Tastes good, good for you, not heavy. Nice people and good service. Atmosphere is informal not fancy, nice.
