Good Middle Eastern food

My Sister works across the Street and highly recommended the Black Sea over Dino's Gyros. I decided to try it. I had a Gyros meal with a Salad and Spinach Borek. Prices were very reasonable compared to the Competition. The Spinach Borek was excellent and had cheese in it which added a lot of... read more

This place is small and crowded! It is obviously very popular! The food has a very traditional taste. The service is good with the server keeping us laughing! Don't miss his fresh baklava! It is probably the best I have ever had! I would go again just to have it again!!!!

Went here tonight and had not visited for at least 12 years. Not because anything was wrong, just kept forgetting about this gem. Even after a decade not only is it still delicious and fresh, but if you are missing the taste of a classic doner (better than a gyro), stop in and grab a couple bites. Even the falafel... More

I've been to Istanbul, the food is wonderful, and so is the Turkish & Mediterranean food at Black Sea. It's small, not many tables, busy at lunch (it's popular with the students and faculty from Hamline), so it may be best to arrive before 11:30, or wait until after 12:30. Inexpensive, fantastic food, it can't be beat.

My husband took me here for my birthday in February. We recently visited Turkey in November 2014, so we were ready for good Turkish food and we were not disappointed. I would suggest the grape leaves and the combo plate for 2. It is way more than two people can eat, but then you can enjoy the delicious leftovers. What... More

This place is amazing. Super small, but somehow there's always a table when you need it. Great prices, great service, great Kabob and Doner. You need a cool place for lunch with a friend who loves meat, and another friend who loves to hate meat? Both will love this place, unless they are uppity jerks.

The waiter was so polite. Good food and clean. The place is simple, but the service and food was very good.

The best and most authentic Turkish meal I have had since being stationed in Turkey. The place is a bit small but the service was was very good.

I have to admit I only stopped in here one day because the Korean restaurant on the same block was closed. I was surprised to find the selections so plentiful. I took an order to go and thoroughly enjoyed finishing it at my desk (which is 4 blocks away).

I was in Turkey, Greece and Macedonia this year, so when I came back, I had a good appreciation for what people eat in the southern Balkans. I had a hankering to go here today, and the timing worked for me, so it was a pleasure--my second visit, after a visit two years ago. Seeing it now, I realize that... More
