Top 10 in the Cities - and - it's in St Paul

This is one of our go-to spots in town. Russell and his team do a fantastic job. Food is French brasserie. Very accessible and impeccably prepared. Since they opened, we've never had a bad experience. Oysters are front and center. Flown in fresh from small producers on both coasts. Seriously... read more

I have been all over the world and this spot is just another over priced restaurant, the food is OK but not great if your looking to spend 200 dollars and be hungry after you leave an hour later this is the place for you, the staff is a little stuffy and they act like you should be grateful to... We went on a Sunday evening before a show and ordered the 5 course tasting menu with the wine pairing. All of the dishes were truly delicious, and the chef even through in a couple extra "mini courses" along with bonus wine pairing (I think we ended up with 7 total including the mini ones). The service was absolutely great,... More

We had dinner at the Meritage for the first time on a Sunday early evening. It was not overly busy when we arrived, but things picked up around 6 pm- fairly busy considering it was Sunday night. We each enjoyed the Tiny Tuna Tartare Tacos and Escargot Bouguignon along with some French wine and the Meritage Manhattan- all great so... More

We recently had a delicious dinner on a weekend night early evening with a couple of friends. We were going to a play at the next door Park Square Theater. The reservation system asked if we were going to any events after dinner and suggested we make a reservation 2 hours in advance. So I made the reservation for 5:30... More

Vast selection of oysters, I never knew there were so many different and nuanced types of oysters until now! And the tasting menu for appetizers ($3 and $4) was a perfect first course. Classic french faire and very knowledgeable staff... And the prices were more reasonable than I expected. You could spend a great deal more if one were to... More

From the moment my companion and I were told by the couple seated next to us that they ate at Meritage once a month, we knew we were in for a treat that did not disappoint. Both of us chose the seafood side of the menu, an elegantly and creatively prepared and served lobster as well as scallops and the... More
