I love all the choice available. So many things to chose from and they are all fabulous. Ordering can be confusing though. And the tables outside are uncomfortable.

I've enjoyed this restaurant over the years - recently have not gone there as often as the prices have risen and my "favorite" dishes have become less predictable. Sometimes great, sometimes a bit disappointing. Still worth a visit - fun place, I would suggest when ordering to ask some pertinent questions to ensure a satisfactory meal.
Nice, low key atmosphere with delicious drinks, meals, and desserts. Try their garlic fries. And don't forget dessert, if you're too full- take some home!
Coffee News is a great place to enjoy a relaxed breakfast with a friend, with the intent of draining a few cups over conversation. The breakfast menu is fairly eclectic, and includes some tasty and interesting takes on a some classic breakfasts. The coffee is good, as are the baked items. The place has a really nice ambiance to it...

Coffee: great Food: wide choice, tastes good Wifi: Free, unlimited Price: Low to standard ($2-4 for coffees, $6-12 for food) Great community coffee shop with lots of seating and a good atmosphere. Typically filled with a wide mix of people, but mostly students and young professionals.
NOTE: This summer (2012) the Coffee News Café temporarily will be closing for a facelift. It will re-open with a new name, more organic foods, and more of a “restaurant” atmosphere, but will have the same owner and staff. (Voted "Best Coffee House 2003/2004/2005" by City Pages Magazine, and "Best Neighborhood Café" in 2005.)

The range of drinks, fast food and desserts offered here is fair. The prices are on the low side. The decor is student-coffee shop style. They have a fair range...

A nice cafe in a fun neighborhood - On Grand Avenue near Macalester College. GREAT cakes!! Try the 4-layer chocolate cake! You might need a friend to help you finish it! It's huge and very rich! Good coffees too. I think they also have soups and sandwiches.
Fun atmosphere. especially if you like MAC students.
If you can wash off the slime of upper midwestern trendiness after you've left, this is a completely awesome coffee shop with some of the best food in the twin cities. I specifically chose an apartment to live in that was within walking distance of this and several other favorite places of mine. First, the coffee isn't that good. Thought...
