I've eaten at Shish inside the restaurant before on business trips and decided to do take-out this time, a simple meal of small hummus and a chicken shwarma pita, with a square of pistachio baklava. The hummus was among the best I've had in the U.S.; the pita was full of wonderfully seasoned grilled chicken, lettuce, tomato, onion, and a... More

I read reviews of a lot of restaurants and decided to give this one a shot. I had the lamb burger and quite frankly it was the worst lamb burger I have ever had. Tasted like old freezer burnt meat. The appetizers would lovely however. Especially the Falafel. I had the German Chocolate for desert. It appeared that it would... More

I've only been to Shish once, but my first impression was good. Both my mother and I ordered the Shishwich, which came with either salad or french fries. (We got one of each.) The Shishwiches were wraps with fresh vegetables and goat cheese (optional) and some sort of sauce. My mother and I both really liked them. The fries and... More

Going to Shish for breakfast for a great surprise. I had looked at the menu and figured the Greek-ish breakfasts would be great, and a nice alternative for other typical breakfasts. The counter service was quick and helpful, and positively impacted our choices. The Shish breakfast was delicious- with Gyro meat (prepared in house!), Tatzliki sauce, and braised eggs (amazing-... I stopped by to order takeout food. The guy behind the counter was borderline rude and short with me. It was very busy at the time so I figured he was stressed out. Still, it was my first time going to this restaurant and I did not leave with good vibes. Not sure if we will return.

I've heard about this place for years and never eaten here. Now I know what I was missing and I'll be back frequently to enjoy the mediteranean flavors. The take-out is excellent. Portions are large; prices are inexpensive. I had the falafel wrap which was wonderful. Others in my party had various shish kebabs. We were all very happy with... More

This is a great little place in St. Paul. We came for a late breakfast Saturday Morning. We ordered the Eggs Benedict with crab cakes, severed on pita bread, it came with potatoes too. We also had a gyros pita sandwich which was filled with meat, onions, tomatoes etc. The flavors were fabulous! I wanted the Jerusalem Breakfast but when... More

Good representation of meditterarian food. Not great for a date.. A little too much like Chipotle in terms of service

Had a take-out lunch here, and came back for breakfast a few days later. Everything was delicious: the eggs, the falafel, and the baklava (pistachio), which was the best I have ever had. The space is pretty small, and gets busy, but the food is worth the wait. Order at the counter, then grab a seat -- they will bring... More
