Good food, bad service

Came here in the evening with a friend to have a bite and coffee while working on a project. We previously check the hours online that stated that it would close at 9:00pm. Came here in the evening with a friend to have a bite and coffee while working on a project. We previously check the hours online that stated that it would close at 9:00pm. Two waitresses were working that night. One of them was very friendly, the other one could not have been more unfriendly, literally. First, my friend had to... More

Casual, family friendly, neighborhood cafe and restaurant. High quality ingredients and preparation, with a focus on local produce. Great breakfast menu, very good lunches and dinners, and excellent baked goods.

Stopped on a campus visit for brunch. My son had eggs with zucchini, corn tortillas and tomatillo sauce. It was well presented but seemed to need seasoning. I had vegetable pie in a potato crust. It was pretty good, but still needed more seasoning. The dining area was clean and service at the counter was pleasant.

We eat here because we love the food and the philosophy. Low-key, fresh, choices my kids love, yummy cookies and bars, off-street parking in the back. Can't go wrong. :-)

We go in there almost every Saturday morning after class because it's convenient and pretty good food, though it is a little pricey, as some other people have noted. But it would be nice to be recognized after my zillionth time in there ordering the same thing.

The two of us had a cup of bean soup, bread stick, margarita pizza, and grapes. Shared a bottle of wine. Finished with a chocolate chip and an oatmeal cookie. Placed order at counter. Got wine and soup there. Rest of meal was delivered to table. Soup was barely warm. When I pointed this out, they acknowledged they were having... More

Favorite spot for healthy food and warm conversation. This cozy cafe is very supportive and engaged in the community and that attitude permeates the atmosphere.

The Reuben was pretty tasty. The fries are out of this world. Kids meal of grilled cheese was adult worthy. Very good food but a bit pricey considering you have to bus your own table and get your own silverware and condiments. Friendly staff.

Our food critic son-in-law took my wife and me to Trotter's last night. The Mediterranean Vegetarian Pasta, the special of the evening, was superb in every way. Bow-tie pasta with fresh peppers, mushrooms, olives, onion, garlic, feta, flavored with balsamic vinegar was first-class. The small side salad and bread were okay but not up the standard of the entree. We... More

Our recent early Friday evening visit was my second and my wife's first. This small, store front restaurant has a casual, 60's feel that reminded me of the coffee houses that flourished then. My wife ordered the bison burger, which was nicely prepared and good tasting. My smaller portioned squash pasta dish included a small salad and one small piece... More
