Comfort Food at Its Best

THE place for comfort food, the BEST hamburger, HOMEMADE fries and tap BEER. Saddle up to the bar alone, meet a friend, enjoy a family meal - enough said.

Good food, some nice tap beer choices. If you're in the neighborhood, it's a must go. If you're a ways away, there are probably many places just like it a lot closer to you.

We were in the area for a basketball game and it just so happened the Nook was right across the street. That, combined with the recommendation of everyone that I know in the area, led us to have lunch at the Nook. This place was featured on the Food Network a few years ago and once you eat here, you'll... More

I think we got lucky because we ate early and there was no wait. The honey glazed bacon cheese curds were very good. The beer specials & 1/2 priced appetizers during happy hour were a nice thing. First Juicy Lucy we ever had. Tasty and everyone in the family enjoyed it. Personally, I'm not a huge fan of extremely pink... More

I like my burgers medium rare so you can taste the meat. The idea of putting cheese in between two patties and then grilling the meat way past done so the cheese becomes dangerously hot is ludicrous! Cheese has subtle flavors best experienced at room temperature, not scalding the roof of your mouth. People are coming here because they saw... More

We ate at The Nook last Friday. Fortunately we arrived early so the wait wasn't too long. We sat downstairs in the basement, next to the bowling alley - I prefer that area - more to look at, bigger tables, warmer during the winter. We ordered our usual jucy lucy burgers, which are default-cooked medium. Mine had extra pink inside... More

Waited 35 minutes for a table. Waited another hour plus to get a hamburger that was ok. I have had better juicy lucy's elsewhere. I will never wait that long for a hamburger and especially for one that was just ok. I am a cook so I have had a lot of burgers and waited way to long in a... More

We went to try the stuffed burgers because my wife saw it on Triple D. We decided to start with the honey bacon cheese curds. Those were so outstandingly, ridiculously good that the juicy nookie burgers only seemed good. It was a long wait, but the food was worth it.

We waited about 45 minutes to get a spot to eat. It was worth it. The burgers we all ordered were delicious. Pricing was reasonable. Definitely a fun atmosphere. Will be back!

It was hyped up on the cooking shows and internet, and it lived up to it's billing! It wasn't too terribly hard to find parking, there is lots available on the street in front of the restaurant. The service was nice and helpful. We had our baby with us, and didn't realize the inside was so "bar-y", but it wasn't... More
