Just Like the Delis Out East!

We walked through the deli to a room that reminded me of the cafeteria of my youth at St. Pascal's Elementary. I smiled. It just felt right. I wondered whatever happened to Sr. Eugenia... We ordered a Reuben and a Russian Reuben which is made with pastrami instead of corned beef. We also ordered... read more

I love Cecil's. Don't expect much from the waitstaff, but the food is consistently good. The rueben sandwiches are divine. Skip dessert and order more potato salad.

Quaint little bistro that is stuck in time 30 year ago. . The front you can order you deli foods and in back is a simple restaurant with the best rubens that I have found in the twin cites and all my travels. I recommend eat in or if the weather is nice get the food to go and head... More

Ok, so it's not a deli in NYC but it's the best and most authentic in the Twin Cities. Huge portions of all of the traditional deli sandwiches. Great breakfast and pie. I have a salmon salad and it was great - I've also had the tuna salad and my hubby likes the Reuben's. They also have a nice deli... More

Fantastic. Everything was great. The menu is huge: seventy plus items not including soups, desserts, breakfast, and sides. Something for everyone. Good portion sizes and we all walked away fat and happy. Two minor hiccups though. The restaurant part is small and does not fit too many people. At the lunch rush people are occasionally seated in the deli or... More

This deli is in a local area where few tourists go so we were lucky to have had it recommended to us ; even our hosts didn't know of it. But it is terrific - nice, friendly staff ; extensive menu with lots of very interesting dishes ; and good, honest food. Wish we could go back there to sample... More

While visiting my son in Minneapolis, we decided to treat him to some NY style deli before a Twins game. For starters, my wife and I shared the delicious knishes with spicy deli mustard. I had the stuffed (not overstuffed) Russian Roulette (corned beef, turkey, Swiss, thousand island). My son had the hot pastrami which overflowed. Service was friendly and... More

Had the pleasure of returning to this deli after many years & now I wonder what took me so long! The place was packed with diners yet we didn't have to wait long. As busy as it was, the service was prompt, polite & quick. The food was delicious, fresh, & plentiful. The menu is huge with many choices for... More

Very homey and unpretentious. The price on the breakfast special can't be beat. Menu is huge. Wait staff very friendly and attentive. Never felt hurried even when the place is packed. Don't change anything,

Love this place. Where else could you get 1/2 a Reuben and matzo ball soup for under $10? You have so many choices, there's something for everyone! Be sure and stop at the deli counter on the way out for their hamentashen, almond or one of many fruit flavor. The whole place is a great experience!
