We had the Ruben sandwich very good. Great potato salad. Friendly waiter. We would return to Cecil's again.

This place is awesome! We were hiking in Minnehaha Park, checked out the falls and walked up and down the creek to the Mississippi River. We worked up an appetite and decided to check out restaurants nearby online. This deli was recommended and did not disappoint. I had the Sasha which was soooo good. The better half had a Reuben... I enjoyed the classic Ruben sandwich. Very good, right mix of corned beef and sauerkraut. A little greasy from butter on the great rye bread but overall tasty. Good atmosphere. A lot of neighborhood people which makes it a good place to visit.

Nestled into my little neighborhood in the Mac-Groveland area of St Paul, there is a historic Deli named Cecil's. This place is fantastic. Forget about the wonderful little deli shop that greets you as you walk in. Or should I say "try" to forget about it... as you make your way through to the restaurant. The food here is outstanding.... More

We went to Cecil's for a late Sunday breakfast, which was great - eggs, bacon, toast/pancakes for $6 - you can't go wrong. The coffee was also very good. Had we left at that point, I would have given this deli a higher rating. We decided to order sandwiches to take on our flight later that afternoon, and that is... More

This is a terrific location for a disappearing type of restaurant - the Jewish based delicatessen! The soups are great especially the soup of the day! Portions are plentiful and the cole slaw ( a side dish) and sandwiches are very memorable. Excellent service from Aron, the proprietor, who takes a genuine interest and concern in his customers. If one... More

Bread is made fresh everyday. The sandwiches are all delicious. This place has the look feel and taste of a classic Jewish deli. I recommend everyone to skip the big franchise places, go to Cecil's, get a great sandwich and support a local treasure.

I am certain the food at Cecil's is good -- perhaps not as good as the local scuttlebutt would have us believe, but based on the corned beef that I had, and the food that others at the table had, it's good. In addition, the baked goods looked marvelous. Still, I will not go back. Here's why. When we came... More

Cecil's makes their Reuben Sandwich different than any other Reuben I've tasted from here to New York and everywhere else with their own special sauce. It's the BEST in the US.
