Fantastic. Everything was great. The menu is huge: seventy plus items not including soups, desserts, breakfast, and sides. Something for everyone. Good portion sizes and we all walked away fat and happy. Two minor hiccups though. The restaurant part is small and does not fit too many people. At the... read more

This deli is in a local area where few tourists go so we were lucky to have had it recommended to us ; even our hosts didn't know of it. But it is terrific - nice, friendly staff ; extensive menu with lots of very interesting dishes ; and good, honest food. Wish we could go back there to sample... More

While visiting my son in Minneapolis, we decided to treat him to some NY style deli before a Twins game. For starters, my wife and I shared the delicious knishes with spicy deli mustard. I had the stuffed (not overstuffed) Russian Roulette (corned beef, turkey, Swiss, thousand island). My son had the hot pastrami which overflowed. Service was friendly and... More

Had the pleasure of returning to this deli after many years & now I wonder what took me so long! The place was packed with diners yet we didn't have to wait long. As busy as it was, the service was prompt, polite & quick. The food was delicious, fresh, & plentiful. The menu is huge with many choices for... More

Very homey and unpretentious. The price on the breakfast special can't be beat. Menu is huge. Wait staff very friendly and attentive. Never felt hurried even when the place is packed. Don't change anything,

Love this place. Where else could you get 1/2 a Reuben and matzo ball soup for under $10? You have so many choices, there's something for everyone! Be sure and stop at the deli counter on the way out for their hamentashen, almond or one of many fruit flavor. The whole place is a great experience!

Cecil's is a good, locally popular traditional New York style Deli. We went there for breakfast. Service was excellent and the food was solid. I had the lox and bagels. My only complaint is that they pretty much have only plain bagels, but hey, this isn't New York. The lox was plentiful and the waitstaff pretty wonderful. My husband had... More

After moving away from St Paul 40 years ago, I came back to have a dinner at Cecil's. I was amazed at how tasty and fresh the food was. They specialize in Jewish sandwiches using freshly every-day baked bread. The service is quick and very friendly. They have breakfast, lunch and dinners. My wife and I came back four times... More

As a native of Brooklyn, I've been to a lot of NY's best delicatessens (e.g. Katz's, Carnegie, 2nd Avenue.) So was I skeptical when some friends offered to take me to a deli in St. Paul? Of course, I was. Cecil's did not disappoint. The NY Style sandwiches (I had pastrami) were generous portions. The knishes were tender and they... More

Cecil's is a fantastic place to eat, as evidenced by the people streaming in. The menu was extensive and offers something for everyone. The meals were very reasonably priced and delicious to boot (I had the Russian Roulette with Potato Salad) and there is an extensive list of dessert items if lunch doesn't fill you up. I cannot recommend this... More
