This is a terrific location for a disappearing type of restaurant - the Jewish based delicatessen! The soups are great especially the soup of the day! Portions are plentiful and the cole slaw ( a side dish) and sandwiches are very memorable. Excellent service from Aron, the proprietor, who takes a genuine interest and concern in his customers. If one... More

Bread is made fresh everyday. The sandwiches are all delicious. This place has the look feel and taste of a classic Jewish deli. I recommend everyone to skip the big franchise places, go to Cecil's, get a great sandwich and support a local treasure.

I am certain the food at Cecil's is good -- perhaps not as good as the local scuttlebutt would have us believe, but based on the corned beef that I had, and the food that others at the table had, it's good. In addition, the baked goods looked marvelous. Still, I will not go back. Here's why. When we came... More

Cecil's makes their Reuben Sandwich different than any other Reuben I've tasted from here to New York and everywhere else with their own special sauce. It's the BEST in the US.

Famous Sandwiches? They just might be and since 1949, Cecil's Delicatessen, Bakery and Restaurant has been busy perfecting today's deli shop! This small family restaurant, tucked away in the Highland Park community of Saint Paul is serving up a large assortment of hot and cold sandwiches and only using the finest cuts of meat. I've been a huge fan of... More

Cecil's is one of the last remaining Jewish Deli's in the twin Cities and is worth the visit. As a transplanted New Yorker, I know a good deli, and this is one. The traditional foods are all here and the variety of inventively named sandwiches are great. Don't see and combo you like? you can create your own. The extras... More

I grew up with Cecil's and have eaten there from time to time in recent years. I have always had reasonably good experiences. This time was a disaster. We had a reservation for 6 people at 6:30 which allowed us plenty of time to get to a nearby play with a curtain time of 8:00. The first problem was the... More

The food was amazing here, there were four in our party and all had sandwiches. The bread was fresh and the meat was top quality. Service was a little slow to come get our order but it was pretty busy toward the end of lunch rush. Will definitely return here to eat.

LOVE the staff. LOVE the sandwiches...my favorite, the Sasha...wow. Also, they do have the best Reuben's around, no doubt.
