In a class of its own!

Love this place. Where else could you get 1/2 a Reuben and matzo ball soup for under $10? You have so many choices, there's something for everyone! Be sure and stop at the deli counter on the way out for their hamentashen, almond or one of many fruit flavor. The whole place is a great experience!

Cecil's is a good, locally popular traditional New York style Deli. We went there for breakfast. Service was excellent and the food was solid. I had the lox and bagels. My only complaint is that they pretty much have only plain bagels, but hey, this isn't New York. The lox was plentiful and the waitstaff pretty wonderful. My husband had... More

After moving away from St Paul 40 years ago, I came back to have a dinner at Cecil's. I was amazed at how tasty and fresh the food was. They specialize in Jewish sandwiches using freshly every-day baked bread. The service is quick and very friendly. They have breakfast, lunch and dinners. My wife and I came back four times... More

As a native of Brooklyn, I've been to a lot of NY's best delicatessens (e.g. Katz's, Carnegie, 2nd Avenue.) So was I skeptical when some friends offered to take me to a deli in St. Paul? Of course, I was. Cecil's did not disappoint. The NY Style sandwiches (I had pastrami) were generous portions. The knishes were tender and they... More

Cecil's is a fantastic place to eat, as evidenced by the people streaming in. The menu was extensive and offers something for everyone. The meals were very reasonably priced and delicious to boot (I had the Russian Roulette with Potato Salad) and there is an extensive list of dessert items if lunch doesn't fill you up. I cannot recommend this... More

I think they have the best Rubens in the twin cities. I prefer their pastrami. The "just like New York" and the "some like it hot " are my favorites. I love the chicken matzo ball soup!

What an interesting place. Reminds me of Deli's that used to be on the lower East side of NY - that no longer exist. I had a Reuben - we all had a different dish and all thought they great. All of us (4 adults, 2 children) enjoyed our (diverse) meals. Lots of unpretentious tables-very busy place. We were there... More

We have been looking for a traditional deli in the Twin Cities for a while. We found it! While we prefer Katz in New York or Brent's in West Lake Village this place is good. The place is packed with customers and does a very nice job.

Corn Beef Hash for brunch was awesome. In past visits I enjoyed Borscht and they have the best Ruebens. Authentic and owned for generations - a must stop if I'm Highland Park area of St Paul and worth a drive if you are not!

I was there for the first time on Christmas day. The food, the service, the staff, everything was outstanding! I highly recommend it!
