DeGidio's has its own parking lot in an otherwise crowded area. Go early for dinner (4pm) as the place gets really busy after 5 on a Saturday evening. I ordered the strawberry salad with grilled chicken and no dressing (very tasty). You get plenty of warm, fresh baked bread with your meal. My two buddies each had the filet and they... More

Excellent service! Good food, however, Juicy Lucia was underdone and cheese was barely melted but had great flavor. Half price wine was a special treat.

We had a very nice end of the season soccer dinner and awards program herethat was very successful. The pasta and meetballs were very good and the food plentiful for our private buffett. Hadn't been here in probably 10 years and had forgotten how good the food was. Will need to get back there more often.

Good family restaurant. Haven't had any food that we didn't enjoy and the portions are quite large. The bread and pizza sticks are great as mentioned by others.. Gets crowded around dinner time especially on the weekend. Service my last visit was much improved over the first time. But in any case the wait is worth it.

It is not an insult, it is sandwich they ate on and around the trains during the late 1800s, and they are best eaten sloppy! They have daily specials, but any menu item is worth trying. It is family friendly and they do not charge a plate splitting fee when splitting with children.

All of our group of four enjoyed what they ordered in keeping with reviews on various sites. However, initially the service was lousy and seemed disjointed. After we were seated, nobody came around for over ten minutes or more. In the meantime other customers that came in and sat near us were waited on. Finalllllly, the waiter acknowledged we were... and not much more. Ample servings, fair prices, a popular place for a family night out. Not what you're looking for if you want a romantic night out or to impress your date.

I loved this Italian restaurant! It could be right out of "The Soprano's" in the decorating and is definitely one of my new "old school" favorites. The food is amazing and generous. I recommend the spaghetti and meatballs. Delicious bread and the strawberry salad was just wonderful. Appetizer was mussels in a broth great for dipping bread. Wish I would... More

DeGidios is always busy. Went with another couple. Our sever, Lauren, was new at waiting tables, but her pleasant smile and personality made up for any missteps in service. I had the walleye which was huge and very good. My husband had the chicken parmegian special which he said was very good. Both of us took home boxes with enough... More

If you like traditional Italian dishes with large portions and in unpretentious surroundings, this is the place. Prices are very reasonable. DeGidios has also been in St. Paul since the 1930's and has an interesting history which is part of its appeal.
