IT'S ALL TERRIFIC!!

We have eaten there many times, and were always pleased. The breakfasts, salads, and Mexican food we've had has been very fresh and good. The service is A+++. We love the atmosphere. Feels like sitting in mom's kitchen. Really great tasting coffee too!

Capital View is one of the best places for breakfast in St Paul. Their panckaes are exceptional and the servings are generous. The staff is always pleasant and service is excellent. Their lunches are great too.

Capital View Café is well known for it's breakfasts. Today I was there just before lunch and ordered the all-you-can-eat fish fry. They serve a perfectly cooked, flakey Alaskan Pollock coated with a light breading. The result was not at all greasy. The taste was exceptional. The initial serving was large but before I was finished they asked me if... More

Excellent Breakfasts! Everything is very good, but every time I come, it's simply too hard for me to pass on their Eggs Benedict. We've come here for years and have never had a sub-par meal. This place is a classic. Great ham as well.

The capital cafe has the best breakfast for the price. The farmers breakfast reminds me of being at home on a Sunday morning after mass, with the pancakes and bacon, eggs hashbrowns and coffee.Great way to start the day.

Very good caramel apple French toast--well-soaked bread, cooked right, with the tartness of the Granny Smith apple slices balancing the sweet stickiness of the caramel sauce. My companion's oatmeal was just OK--generous portion, but just a little too watery. Service was friendly and attentive, but a little slow on a crowded Sunday morning. All in all, a good choice for... We enjoyed breakfast here after church one Sunday. A nice local restaurant decorated with paintings of folks who have dined here which adds to a homey feel. Check out the Mexican breakfast specialties.....I had the Huevos Rancheros and loved them - but I like a spicy red sauce. My husband's omlette was fluffy and held lots of filling - unfortunately... My family loves this restaurant. When ever my husband and I stay with my brother and his family, this is where we come for brunch. What a fabulous place. We love all the food; the breakfast, the Mexican food, hamburgers, everything. The people who work here are all really friendly and we have always had outstanding service. There's a wide... More

Were here previously and the eggs benedict were to die for. 5 stars with only 3 star prices. We came back to try the Mexican food. As you can see from the photo, it is a beautiful thing. However, I am giving it only a 3 1/2 for Mexican food because I don't care for their red sauce or their... More

You will pass Capital View Cafe if you are not looking for it. It looks like many casual diner type restaurants. However, the food is above average. It may not be next door to many of the Mexican restaurants in the area, but the Mexican breakfasts are impressive. The above mentioned Red Pork is delicious. It is slow roasted pork... More
