Highland Grill is part of the Blue Plate Restaurant Company, and we've visited at least four of the restaurants included, and they are all about four stars. The Highland Grill has a nice open feel to it. We went there for an early dinner prior to a concert nearby. My wife had the walleye dinner, which was very good, and... More

I'm a long time customer of the Highland Grill and frequent this place regularly for breakfast. The food is always good, the staff friendly, efficient and happy to see you no matter if you come alone or with friends/family. They keep the favorite dishes, but always have new offerings to try. In general, it's comfort food with some flair. Recently... More

Went with friends for breakfast. Our meals included a standard ham, eggs, hash browns and toast; breakfast burrito and eggs Benedict. All good. The multigrain bread used for toast was delicious, but would have been even better with butter on it. The raspberry jam (a kind of purée) was also delicious. Prices on the high side. Service was fast and... More

This is a long time favorite place of our entire family. Almost always have the Hot hash & holy, but just about everything on the menu is good. Prices being right around ten bucks, it's or choice for breakfast just about every weekend.

My wife an I stopped into the Highland Grill after wandering through the art fair last weekend. The food was good but a bit overpriced for lunch. Service was good and the staff friendly.

The Highland Grill has been a favorite for years and is still worth the trip. Last night we had a light dinner including roasted beet salad, chili chicken wings, sauteed spinach and a Grill salad. My wife, the wing expert, loved the chili wings and brought some home for seconds. The roasted beet salad had the right mix of beets,... More

Not much ambience, was looking forward to highly acclaimed "curry night" (Sri Lanka) - ordered the vegetarian dish. Sweet potatoes, lentils, brown rice which were OK but quite bland even with the side chutney, etc. The coleslaw-like salad was fresh with a dressing over-powered with mustard. My partner and I were glad we had shared the meal. The portions were... More

While we have had dinner here a number of times, always enjoyable, this is our go to breakfast place. They do breakfast very well! Service is always very good & friendly. Eggs are cooked exactly as ordered. This is a place were even the toast is served hot. Can't get that many places! Coffee is kept full, which both my... More

Ate here recently trying to explore other options rather than downtown St. Paul, W. 7th, Grand. The food tasted really generic. The ambiance is generic too. Kind of felt like a bright hipster Perkins. There is a bar which we sat at because the restaurant was full but it felt more like we were sitting at the waitress station. We... More

I have eaten breakfast, lunch, and dinner. There is a good mix of traditional and exotic dishes. The prices are very reasonable for the portion size and homemade quality. I have never had poor service or bad food. I highly recommend the bread pudding for desert it's the best I have ever had.
