The lovely interior, which boasts one of the largest bars I've ever seen, allows you to choose one of many possible seating areas. However, summer seating MUST be had in the lovely and large garden area, complete with couches, something reminiscent of European dining.

By far, the best patio in St. Paul. They have plenty of seating, although often full, if you hang out awhile a seat will likely open up. The wait staff is a little finicky about seat movement, but they also have to move around the patio. Service can be a little slow, but just kick back, relax, order some apps... More

The atmosphere is old Catskills meets Manhattan. Stopped for a drink and appetizers on the patio, as the prices are too steep for dinner. It was lovely. Definitely a special occasion dining spot!

This is a very special restaurant because of tradition, location, service, and food entrees perhaps you have never heard of or experienced. Our visit tonight was to celebrate an anniversary. We arrived early and we were seated promptly. It gave us time to study the wine list and menu. Admittedly, our wine choice was made by price because 95% of listings... More

Went to this place for a college graduation dinner. We waited 2 hours to get our food!! The menu was very expensive and when the entrée arrived, it was tiny! I ordered a spinach type salad and it came on small plate that didn't even look like a side salad. My husband ordered a burger and it was charcoal burned.... More

One of the best patios in downtown St. Paul with mature, lush trees and flowers, just beautiful. but you better call for reservations or expect to wait an hour or more, which can be easily done in the bar inside, outside or downstairs. And don't worry if it rains outside, they'll still take your reservation under tables with umbrellas, but... More

We love W.A. Frost! It reminds us of a European café--the ambience is wonderful, as is the food. W.A. Frost is a beautifully re-imagined restaurant housed in a former drug store, replete with original woodwork, marble counter and embossed tin ceilings on one side--and an elegant, old-world décor on the other. In the winter, it is warmed by a cheery... More

Take a look at the photo, THE very best time to sit at the large Victorian style bar with a glass of wine and watch the heavy snow fall through the enormous windows to the street. This place has more character than any bar/restaurant deserves, the food is great and the staff are very attentive. If you'd rather have a... More

Located in a very old, historic building, WA provides a comfortable, very satisfying culinary experience. I have eaten here several times over many years but they truly hit their stride about five years ago and continue to be superb. They have a great wine, list, beautifully prepared food and efficient, pleasant service. Paid $124 for two for soup, salad, entrees... More

This is an expensive a la carte restaurant. If you're on a budget, visit them at happy hour and enjoy the wonderful patio!
