Amazing venue

W.A Frost has the best venue in Saint Paul. Old school class and character. The basement is amazing. The only thing that keeps it from a 5-star rating is the limited menu. Everything on the menu is great, there just isn't a ton of selection.

Ever since I moved to St Paul, all I hear is Frost this, Frost that..... And as luck would have it, I finally had the opportunity to go there this January. I will divide this review into two parts, the restaurant itself and the food and service. What Woody Allen's Blue Jasmine was to the woman - out of date... More

WA Frost is still a wonderful place for dinner. Great ambiance and nicely presented food. Service is efficient friendly and professional. We went for dinner on a Friday before a show. We made reservations through Open Table and had no problem with seating. There were a couple of large parties in the private room and downstairs but our meal was... More

Came here with family for lunch and was pleasantly surprised by the unique menu. The wine/beer list was diverse also and made for some sampling fun amongst each of us. The only drawback was the shortage of certain items on the menu that we were not made aware of on the front side (slightly annoying when 2 out of the... More

Much bigger than I expected, the restaurant has numerous dining rooms. The high ceilings with decorative tin are very interesting. Prices are a bit high, but not enough to avoid the place. Share a bottle of wine-the glass prices are high, but bottle prices are in-line with other restaurants. Our server was efficient, but seemed slow-probably due to the bartender... More

This chef is hauling it! This location is an iconic space that has food items that sound so weird you have to tempt your fate. You will be glad you did. It is perfect for a little date that is a swanky and you want to have cute hair for. It is not a burger and fries sort of menu... More

We arrived just after they opened on Sunday. The staff was glad to see us. Our server was attentive but not hovering and had a good sense of humor as we complained about Christmas without snow. The food was exceptional, they must have an air machine to get the eggs in the omelette so fluffy. The fire in the fireplace... More

The food and service were amazing. This restaurant is a Saint Paul classic, but with a modern take on American food. Try the "micro" portion entrees. The size is actually like a lunch portion, and it leaves room for dessert.

It's been a few years since I've been to this restaurant, and the last time wasn't so great, but decided to give it another go--huge mistake! First, the food. 4 of us were there for dinner, and we did not preview the menu on-line. Obviously their chef is trying hard to be eclectic and unique. He/she is trying a little... More

My first visit to WA Frost was great. I've wanted to visit the outdoor patio during the summer but never got to it. Enjoyed a small birthday celebration in the wine cellar bar. If you like historic buildings THIS is it. The place was PACKED but it still felt warm and cozy. The service was slow but really, I didn't... More
