Finaly made it to Heartland. Excellent experience

Heartland used to be located about half a mile from our house. They moved downtown about 5 years ago. We finally made it here. It is very large and open. Not crowded like many high end restaurants. We dined here to celebrate a friend's engagement. Honestly, it was hugely overpriced for what we received. The entrees are not good sized at all. Be prepared to leave hungry and poor!

We were attending an event in the neighborhood, so decided to give Heartland a second chance. We had been here once before, shortly after it moved to this location. Everything we tried was good, and the only thing that was delicious were the pickled onions in my green salad. We would have been satisfied at a lower price, but expected... More

You can order A la Carte, but the 3 course flora and fauna options are the best deal. It's one of those restaurants where you can close your eyes and point to something on the menu and trust that it will be delicious.

For years Lenny Russo's Heartland Restaurant has set the bar high for locally sourced exquisite dining in St.Paul, MN. The bar is a great place to start with a solid happy hour, excellent wine selection, varied local craft beers, and tasty appetizers including wonderful burgers. The restaurant offerings are second to none. On my last visit I had the Bison... More

My husband and I went to Heartland before a Wild game. (Side note they have a shuttle bus that will take you to the Xcel or Ordway, door to door service, very convenient.) We had a great meal. We asked our server for recommendations on dishes to order and we were not disappointed. We had 2 small plates, 2 large... More

the winter greens salad was good. The sourdough rolls were great. We had been sitting for more than 2 hours before our entree was served and when it came my cassoulet was no better than a frozen pot pie. The 2 others who were with me (and had a good experience here before ) were disappointed in their meal too.... More

The atmosphere at this resturant was fantastic and the ever changing menu makes me want to come back soon. The food and service was excellent and presented beautifully.

The service was good for a new place. The food, however, was bland, and over priced for what it was. For $150 for 2 people, it way under delivered. They did have a big event space downstairs, so that is always good to know.

I arrive MSP on a "unseasonably cold" summer September night. Heartland Restaurant was my first of St Paul. Nestled downtown near the up and coming ballpark, the warm wood interiors and candlelit environment made me feel welcome and enveloped me in warmth. While I waited for my reserved table, the well stocked bar was inviting. The bartender, delivered great libations,... More
