My wife and I went yesterday for a lunch buffet. I am inclined to give two stars for the following reasons: *The food had decent flavor, but 90% of the dishes tasted exactly the same *The buffet kept running out of a few fishes *The buffet selection was OK, rather piddly on snack/dessert-type items. *The dining area was fairly uncomfortable... We had a pre-flight dinner here. Told the staff and we were in and out on an hour. Yak Momos were great. Lamb curry was tender and spiced to order. The goat was tasty but tough. The Kathmandu Coffee was superb. Brewed with milk not water and spiced like Chai.

Visitng St. Paul and wanted to pick up Indian food to go, to bring to my sister's apartment. Read good reviews online and chose to call Everest on Grand to order take-out. Phone service was neither friendly nor unfriendly, but less than average in appreciating the customer. The food was OK, but the tandoori chicken was overcooked and therefore dry... More

We ate here on a week day, electing to try the buffet. It's an unpretentious, casual atmosphere, not fancy at all. The food was quite tasty, though one might want to avoid the buffet if they don't like spicy food. Several of the choices were on the spicy side, which we enjoyed. But people were also ordering off of the... More

I had one of the best meals all year here, I was expecting the same old sub-continent dishes and was surprised by both dishes we ordered. The veg chau-chau had a great assortment of vegetables and just the right amount of noodles and spice. The Ema Datsi was unlike anything I've had before, I love new dishes and this was... More

This is the second time I've eaten at Everest, and the 4th or 5th for our daughter and this restaurant has yet to disappoint. Lovely menu of choices, from vegetarian to meats and the bread is fantastic. We shared chicken tikka masala, a veggie curry dish, momos and naan. So simply presented, but complex flavors and textures that will delight. Attentive... More

Our daughter had just returned from traveling in northern India and asked that we try this restaurant. What a pleasant surprise! The staff is very friendly and willing to offer a lot of information about their wide selection of dishes. We ordered Momos for an appetizer and they were very tasty! Some were veggie momos, some with meat but I... More

Outstanding Nepali, Tibetan, and Indian food, and if you're just visiting, yes, it's not within walking distance of any hotel in either Minneapolis or St. Paul. And it's nothing fancy. And it's not exactly right for a business lunch or big gathering. So why make the trip? You like great food. Promise - you won't be disappointed.

Last time my mums and and I stayed in the cities we ate here. I have many friends from Nepal and have tasted many authentic Nepali dishes, this is an excellent place to sample their exotic cuisine. My husband loved the yak stuffed Momo's.
