Good selection of specialties

An outing with friends to the Glockenspiel was a great way to spend the afternoon. Good selection of beers to celebrate Octoberfest. We shared glass boots of beer. I ordered the select two wurst varieties served with excellent sauerkraut and a choice of sides. The sausage is made locally and is... read more

Went there last Saturday 11/21 for an early dinner with my folks. Sure hope they reopen with the same flair and staff very soon! Shakopee would be a great place to open an authentic German eatery as we also have a microbrewery here now!

We come here about once a year. Been to Germany, Switzerland and Austria many times so I have a point of comparison, Plus, have visited one of the best Germany restaurants, in Milwaukee, many times. The bar is quite nice and reminds us of places in Europe. The main dining room is also nice and charming. Beer selection is really... More

I was craving German food and this place did not disappoint. I had a rahmschnitzel. The sauce was very good. The veal was a little tough. I got warm potato salad on the side that was good. The plate was more expensive than it needed to be. My wife got something that had a large soft pretzel with two types... More

The service is great and extremely friendly! The food was outstanding made me feel like home, born in Switzerland myself. Met the owner and had a nice chat with him as well!

Genuine gauges and excellent beer selection. To enjoy in a very casual environment. Perhaps the menu needs a bit more inclusions but so far the quality is good.

This is a very traditional German Style restaurant. My friends love German food and are always happy to go here to eat. Service is friendly. Our server needed to answer questions at each end of the table but she didn't mind repeating herself. There was an accordion player playing the night we were there and it was fun to "name... More

When we walked in, there was a raucous wedding dance going on, accompanied by accordions and lederhosen. It looked fun but I nearly lost control of my bowels as I realized what kind of night we were embarking upon... Even as the wedding party mercifully fled, we continued to be regaled by the musical stylings of the gentlemen in the... More
