In the hotel where we were staying and getting great reviews, it was too convenient not to try the Grill. Never had eaten walleye and though enjoyed it, my wife's halibut was better. Next time will get a steak.

The food was excellent. We enjoyed a cocktail and an assortment of appetizers, wonderful berry salad and their famous chicken pot pie. The lamp chop appetizer was mouthwatering! You did not feel rushed and could take your time with the meal. That being said, the section we were in had a couple of large groups and found that the service... More

I went here last night with two colleagues. Service was attentive without being annoying. Between us we has a fish, steak and chicken entree. The only criticism was a small one, that the chicken was on the dry side. The food can be pricey, but the venue and service make it a serious contender for your business.

This restaurant consistently provides best in class food and service. We have been to the restaurant on several occasions and we have never been disappointed. The the cost is fairly high, it is worth the expense for a very special occasion. I highly recommend it!

In the historic St. Paul Hotel overlooking a beautiful park. We met old friends and ordered BIG. We drank the best from their incredibly stocked, and very classic bar then ordered from a beautiful menu. We ate like kings (and queens) and had a perfect experience. Very sophisticated and knowledgeable wait staff but not snotty. We had a truly memorable... More

The St. Paul Grill is my favorite restaurant in St. Paul. Hands down. I have gone there pretty frequently for both lunch and for dinner. It is an excellent place to go to for business meals as well as for a nice dinner before going to the Ordway. I personally love the various steak options (including the Grill Charlie's for... More

My date and I dined at the St. Paul Grill before seeing a show at the Ordway. The location was fantastic, the interior was really nice, and the wait staff were on top of things. .... those were the positives. We ordered the Walleye dinner along with the Shrimp Linguini. Both were average. Normally, I'd be fine with that, except... More

Since we were visiting the area and heard that walleye was a local fish, we wanted to try it. The Grill had on the menu a pan fried walleye dusted with almond flour and a sweet pecan glaze. We were served in the bar area since we were between lunch and dinner. The dish was cooked perfectly and tasted great.... More

We like to go to the Saint Paul for a Sunday morning brunch. The buffet is good (expensive, though) there is valet parking, and the service is attentive and friendly. The ambiance is old fashioned/luxurious, as is the hotel itself.

We ate at the St. Paul Grill for my wife's birthday. The menu has many items to choose from. I had the grilled Pork Chops and my wife had the Swordfish. Both were excellent, The hash browns ordered as a side were the best ever, and you will have plenty left over for the next day if you order them.Great... More
