This is a unique, fun eating experience. You eat in a tiny railroad car. There may be a wait but do wait. My son and I ate at the stooled area so could watch the cook flip pancakes, scramble eggs, brown up hash browns, flatten bacon - all on a long fry grill. (There are also a few booths off... More

Last Saturday morning, three of us took the Green Line to downtown St. Paul to have breakfast at Mickey's Diner followed by a stroll over to the Farmer's Market to do some vegetable shopping. None of us had been to MIckey's Diner before, so this was a mini adventure of sorts. We sat in one of the four booths located... More

Okay so it's in a sketchy neighbourhood - get over it. This place is genuine St. Paul history. The food is classic diner style - everything prepared right in front of you. I waited 25 years before eating here and I'm sorry I didn't eat here sooner. Enjoy a milk shake. The liver and onions are awesome!

Stayed over in St Paul with the purpose of going to this diner for breakfast since they have been all over food network. Huh?? I have decided these places must be related to someone in the entertainment industry to be getting so much publicity. We decided to go for ice cream after a concert in the park. It was not... More

An authentic old time diner; food was good and plentiful but the menu is pretty standard diner food, don't come here looking for the unusual. A great choice for breakfast.

Charming diner car that has been continuously open for a very long time. Great diner food!! This is what it is......a unique little dining car offering fully loaded fried hashbrowns and the like. Perfect at what it does :)

You cannot compare Mickey's in Downtown St. Paul with a major restaurant. It is a diner! And don't confuse this one with the other by the same name on the outskirts of the city. Completely separate owners and management. So this review is based on diners I have been to and not restaurants. You can Google it and find out... More

Cool old school diner with hard working folks and good meals. I had breakfast at 1 am, and it was great. The pancakes are wonderful!

The rest of that title should be "....You Blow my Mind!", however I wasn't completely blown away by Mickey's Diner, the stapled 24 hour diner car in downtown St. Paul. This place is a staple for downtown St. Paul, it's been in films with big stars, but it's not all that good! I wouldn't use the word "amazing", but I... More

I went here because it was in 'Jingle All The Way'- but the food was worth staying! Best grilled cheese ever! Great bowl of mulligan stew. (Enough for 2 people, but who wants to share!)
