Very fun place to go! Food was homestyle good. Friendly waitstaff especially for how tiny and crowded it is. Our grandkids had a ball there~

I love the other Mickey's locations, but I had a very bizarre experience at this one. The place was packed and a seat opened up so I sat down to get out of the way, when the middle aged male line cook yelled in front of everyone, "Just because you're a GIRL doesn't mean you get to sit down before... What a hoot. Loved it. Don't go if you're stuffy or picky. The place isn't very clean or professional but it's an experience for sure. The food is good. It's so full of butter. NUM. We were there for breakfast (highly recommended). The omelets are something to see. We'll be back.

I am visiting my son in MN. but I am from New York. I was so excited to be stopping here as it is a famous spot and my son told me it was a great place. What a disappointment!!!!! There are signs all over saying there is a 30 minute maximum visit. Even the parking signs stated 30 minute... More

Okay, I will say the waitress and the cook were nice, but that was really the only saving grace of this place". I saw some good reviews, and really I am baffled. It was not clean, and the food was NOT good. I don't mind greasy if it at least comes with flavor, but this food had all the grease... More

Wonderful experience. We sat at the bar and had a fun time chatting with the cooks. Food was your average greasy spoon diner, but still unique. BLT was delicious and the baked beans. Make sure to bring cash for the tip - if you use a credit card you can't write one in.

If you like butter, I mean REALLY like butter, get a swing omelet- easily the most unique item on the menu. 3 eggs mixed to delirium in a shake machine and then cooked with a 1/2 stick of butter. Over the top rich and probably shaving years off my life. Past that, everything is typical greasy spoon with a touch... More

We love diners and this one was terrific. The real deal, with classic dining options, and open 24/7. We went for breakfast/lunch and everything was tasty. The place is small and if your group if more than four, that can be tricky. A sign posted asks that tables be occupied for no more than 30 minutes but that doesn't always... More

Mickey's Diner is a dining car restaurant and is located on West 7th Street near the center of downtown St Paul. It is also located a few blocks northeast of the Xcel Energy Center (you could easily walk between these two places). The restaurant opened in the early 1940’s (right before WWII) and has been open non-stop (24/7) ever since... More

This is our "go to place" to eat before we go to the MN Roller Girls bouts at the Roy Wilkins arena in St Paul. Sit at the counter and enjoy the interaction with the eclectic group of people that patronize this diner. The food is always good (yeah a bit greasy) but great portions, the atmosphere is CLASSIC and... More
