Delicious food: what matters.

This place looks gross, but in a charming historic way. It is also famous, having been featured in many movies (all Mighty Ducks films and more!) and having hosted celebrities and politicians. The food is delicious. I mistook their hash browns as masked potatoes because the potatoes are large; not... read more

My kids always wanted to visit. Went for early breakfast...fun time for all...Kids got a kick out of eating at a diner since the area has so few.

They don't talk they take your order and that's it. The people around us treat us better than the waitress. And there is only a few places to sit. It took 7 minutes for coffee and there was confusion upon delivering it, and the table is 5 feet away from the service station.Hopefully the food changes the rating a little... More

As a St. Paul native, I feel like a traitor saying this but Mickey's Diner is nothing special. It's a teeny, tiny, hole-in-the-wall greasy spoon diner with terrible parking options and room for maaaaybe 20 patrons to eat at once. The food is just okay and the service is also just okay but don't worry, they'll still charge you a... More

Were in town for a wedding a few weeks ago so stopped in here on a Sat. morning. You know it's not good when there is an orange cone in the aisle & not sure it was because the floor was wet...just felt greasy. We were appreciative they tried to fill our breakfast order even though the grill went down... More

The wife and I thought we check this place out one Sunday morning. Mickey's diner has been in this location and open 24 hours a day for the last 70 years, so no wonder it's a tad bit rundown. Quite frankly it doesn't matter, the food is great and it exudes the true essence of an old time diner. it's... More

Neat old diner car, lots of history I'm sure. Average breakfast, great pancakes. The entire interior needs a thorough cleaning, it's really grimy and run down inside. The bathroom in the basement is straight out of a Stephen King novel...not for the faint of heart. Would not recommend going here unless your either liquered up or ok with not clean... More

We love it here. How can you beat sitting at an old school diner and watching a dude make your food as he strikes up a conversation with you at the same time. The portions are huge and the food is excellent. I always get an omlette and end up sharing it with my hubby it's so fluffy and big.... More

I am not even sure where to begin, the place is filthy and rundown. The service was slow and rude. The food was average. I had never seen a place so dirty that was still be allowed to serve food. If I had my choice we would have left, but husband was determined to stay. LOL We made the best... More

Built in the home of the American diner and transported just across the upper Mississippi in downtown St. Paul this will rekindle memories for transplanted Jerseyians and New Yorkers as well as all nostalgia fans. It could not be more authentic as it has been open virtually every day, every hour of every day for over 75 uninterrupted years, Staying... More
