Interesting spot

We were in town with family and wanted to try something different. Saw the reviews for this place and thought what the H lets go. Interesting full service market with a cafeteria line which was pretty cool. The pollo a la Mexicana was good and my wife had the barbicoa (excuse the spelling) I would... read more

I had been meaning to try this place for quite a while- this review is about their food alone. There's much more to this place than the food. After eating there, I can't understand why so many people love it and rave about its authenticity. If this is authentic Mexican food than I guess Mexican food has no flavor? Everything... More

Very authentic and their market is amazing. I was able to find food I hadn't seen since I lived in Central America. Make sure to try their salsa de aguacate!

Great place to stop for guisados. We're from the bay but my husband is always on the lookout for good Mexican food. El burrito mercado hits the spot. I love their chicharrones. Their portions are generous and the price is right.

LOVE this place! Only regret is that it's my first time but will be back. Authentic, old school Mexican cuisine available via deli/take out or in full service restaurant. The table seating is limited however we went off peak, assuming there would be a wait otherwise. Generous portions, strong drinks, attentive staff. The market is charming and includes a butcher/deli... More

Started off with some chips-- whole grain style with two salsas brought to the table balanced with a margarita that was strong and crisp. We sat on some tall leather stools that turned out to be more comfortable than appeared. The entrees came with a healthy plate of beans rice and lettuce. The cheese enchiladas were stewed in a deep... More

A recent visit to El Burrito Mercado I felt it necessary to finally post a review - Since moving here from Los Angeles this has been my go to place to feed my Mexican food jones over the last 20 years. Lucky for me I live in their neighborhood. The meals are served cafeteria style in a casual environment. They... More

Great experience on my first visit home in 20 years. Friends took me out to dinner to this unique grocery store with a cafe line to choose your faire. Fresh Clean Friendly with authentic Mexican favors. Pick up some Guac, chips and salsa to go

We had lunch here and both got the enchiladas per the recommendation of the waitress. They were scrumptious. The salsa with the chips had a good kick and the atmosphere fit with a Mexican restaurant. Would go back.

El Burrito is a restaurant/full service grocery store. You can do the cafeteria style restaurant or the sitdown/service side. Both are excellent and well priced. The grocery store is huge, with about everything you can want for mexican cooking and dining. You should go just for the experience if not to eat.
