As good as it's Minneapolis location - truly outstanding

Just a fantastic tasting pizza - equal to its Minneapolis sibling. The atmosphere of the restaurant could be improved (i.e. local artwork, etc.) but the pizza and service is really stellar. I highly recommend this place and can't wait to eat there again.

The crust was actually perfect for wood fired. That is where my happy experience ended... The one I had was flavorless. In fact, Tombstone would have been better for flavor. Thank God I had some water to drink so I had something to taste.

Ordered mine to go and was impressed with the quality and freshness of the ingredients. Not your typical unhealthy indulgence but rather a well crafted meal. Bit on the pricy end for pizza but you do get what you pay for!

I do not understand the praise I've heard about this place. The chopped salad was perfectly nice. The pizza did not have enough cheese or sauce. I am not expecting mountains of cheese or sauce. There were sections of our pizza with NO cheese on it at all and you could therefore see that the sauce was so thin it... More

If you are looking for a deep-dish, pepperoni pizza, stop reading right now and go elsewhere! And do not review this place because you have been warned. However, if you are a foodie who loves craft beer then this was was designed with you in mind! The mushroom pizza with curve was absolutely fantastic and the craft beer selection is... More

Simply put, the pizza is well below average. The meats are over-spiced, seem to be compensating for low-quality.The toppings are very sparse for the price and the sauce is boring. Depending on how hot they have the oven, your pizza may come out black on the bottom without the cheese melted on top. Don't expect a refill on soda, you... More

Good wine selection, good pizza. They are generous with the toppings! Went with a business group...my fave pizza had Persian beef, feta, harissa, tomatoes. They had more traditional pizzas as well. Great place for an informal business dinner. Walking distance from Embassy Suites.

I heard this was the new hot pizza place in town. I tend to like my sauce to have a lot of flavor and I must say I was disappointed. However the other people at our table seemed to like it so I guess it's a matter of taste. Personally I actually prefer punch pizza or even dominoes compared to... More

We stayed in St Paul for a week in the process of bringing our son to college. Since we are from out of state, we wanted to be tourists in Minnesota and to see some of the area sights and experience St Paul. We visited Black Sheep Coal Fired Pizza (which was a quick 5 minute walk from our hotel)... More

Black Sheep has a good selection on local beer and yesterday had a special on beer & pizza. Very good salads too. The pizza reminds me of New Haven style pizza - that is a big compliment. Great crust and cooked with care. Recommended!
