Great pizza, cold beers!

The pizzas are all phenomenal and there is a nice beer selection. I enjoyed my visit here and would return without a doubt if back in the area. Great friendly service to an eclectic crowd.

Living on the east coast, it was a bit of a surprise that they needed to describe coal fired pizza on the menu. I realize Minnesota is closer to Chicago than New York, but really? Anyway, the pizza is fine. The crust is fairly thick, and that makes it tough to get the right amount of crispiness that is table... More

I am torn on my overall rating given the polar opposite ways that I feel about the food and the service. Arriving at the restaurant, I was greeted promptly by the friendly hostess and given multiple seating options (note: the restaurant was perhaps half full). After being seated, the hostess returned with water. More than 10 minutes passed before my... More

Great pizza and amazing chopped salad. We visit Black Sheep everyone we visit St. Paul for medical reasons for my son. Always the highlight of our visit.

This place has the best pizza and service. It also has some great appetizers like the roasted vegetables. The only possible downside is that one must pay for this quality.

We had roasted red pepper and fennel sausage. The crust was thin and crunchy. There were generous amounts of toppings and a 16 inch was more than enough for my husband and me. They have a rotating selection of interesting beers. It is a hipster hangout a few blocks from the light rail.

After carnally indulging in a Juicy Lucy (see my review) the previous evening we thought something, at least on the surface, healthier would be a good option. Black Sheep Pizza showed up on the radar and we gave it a try. Easy location to get to and parking right across the street. We were there a little early for dinner... More

This is pizza baked in a coal-fired oven, Brooklyn stye. We've eaten here about 10 times and haven't been disappointed. The pizza is crisp, spicy, and comes in several imaginative varieties, plus you can invent your own. They also have good cheap wine and a nice selection of beers. The atmosphere is relaxed and unpretentious. If you're looking for relief... More

I enjoyed the crust on the pizza. I would have preferred more spices in the sauce. Avoid the salad, mine did not seem fresh.

Great pizza. I had the plain cheese and it was very tasty. Service excellent. Wine in carafes or half a carafe. Salads looked good. Highly recommended. I go there every time I am in St. Paul. Service was great as I said.
