The crowd waiting for a table was intimidating, but once the food arrived at our table, I could understand why. It is definitely comfort food, but healthy comfort food. I came here for the local grown and raised taste and I certainly got it. The service was also great: kind, friendly, helpful staff that doesn't forget about you even when... More

We ate there in December 2014. It was very busy and seating was cramped. Waitress was great. We ordered roasted pork, smoked beef , Plantains, mac and cheese , Creamed spinach and yam. Everything tasted great. It sounds like a lot of food. It wasn't. Servings were very small. Among our table of 4 we were soon playing Minnesota Nice... More

We stopped in for a very late lunch on a Saturday - about 4 pm. Were seated right away, but it took quite a while for anyone to take our order. Strange, because it wasn't real busy and there were only a few tables of diners. Very limited menu but an interesting concept. There are 4-5 choices for proteins, bowls,... More

I find it interesting that people refer to this as comfort food. To my way of thinking, comfort food are items that I might find at home or at mom's house. Well, my mom never cooked like this. Unique dishes like yams with sausages, and great rotisserie pulled meats. All a la carte, and very reasonable if you share several... More

We stop by about once a month for dinner. The food is always good, with lots of choice and reasonable portions. This is always a good place if you want good, solid, basic, comfort food. The service can be spotty based on who you get as a server.

This is a great restaurant. Decor is cafe style but the food is delicious. The food comes out fast and the menu has tapas style options. Pulled pork, yams with sausage, creamed spinach and peas and rice are some great dishes. They serve wine and beer as well. Service is casual but ok.

Really simple but delicious food. It's great to order a bunch of small sides and share. Can get pretty crowded, so get there early to avoid a long wait.

The food was pretty good. Like the idea of ordering family style and sharing. Service was OK. Our waitress was nice but not very good. Got our food before our drinks. I would go back again if we are in the area.
