Cool discovery

Trendy place with good food, friendly staff and good prices. The pulled chicken, roasted pork, grits and red beans and rice are all terrific.

Southern cooking at it's best. I had never had collard greens and they were fabulous. Mostly Ala carte menu but reasonably priced.

This is my first negative review, oral or written, of an Alex Roberts restaurant. Restaurant Alma has been my favorite Twin Cities eatery since it opened, and I've had consistently good meals at both Brasas over the years. Thus the great disappointment at today's lunch in St. Paul. I understand that lunchtime is busy and noisy, but a 45 minute... More

This was a fun and fresh local fine! My chicken was great, the brisket was good, the pork was out of this world! The menu is pretty eclectic and all very good. Homemade mac and cheese was wonderful. The large guacamole appetizer was mouthwatering and the homemade chips were a wonderful surprise. We were very happy with this place. Parking... More

The food here is delicious and fresh but the price for what you get is way to expensive. We loved the mac and cheese and the garlic bread. The restaurant is fairly small so chances are during dinner rush you will have to wait.

After seeing this on Man vs Food, my friends and I were looking forward for some succulent meat before our St. Paul Saints game, and my were we disappointed. The room was fine, the service was good, but each of our dishes were not up to par. My friend's pulled chicken was covered in this cream sauce that was anything... More

2 of us ate here last night. Beer and wine only, beer selection could be much better (no real dark beers). Pulled pork, slow roasted pork seemed to be the thing to order, so I ordered the 'plate' and partner ordered the 'bowl' with egg. She absolutely loved hers. Mine was good, but not drop to your knees and thank... More

I had the pulled pork with a side of greens and mac n cheese. Pork and greens were delicious. Mac n cheese left a lot of room for improvement. It really was very much like Kraft. I thought I would get a lovely dish of pasta with several different kinds of cheese that had been baked in the oven. Big... More

Small place with AMAZING food. It is a smaller place with garage doors that open up to let fresh air in and also has a nice little patio. Very delicious sangria. I recommend getting a couple different kinds of meat and splitting them between friends. The Smoked Beef has a great BBQ sauce, I didn't think it was too spicy.... More

So when I visit my parents in the Twin Cities, we often hit a few of our usual favorite places. That's nice and comforting. But my Mom always says "I want to to go to Brasa sometime when you're here." We finally did. All of our dishes were great - we had pulled pork, pulled chicken, and brisket. I think... More
