Great Chicken

One of the best broiled chickens I have had in the States. The food, environment, and service was amazing.

Yes! Straight up Soul Food with a hippie vibe! The fried chicken, mac and cheese and greens are all simply amazing. Will try to hit up this spot every time i'm in St. Paul.

If you want fun and good food and value, this is it! A culinary adventure of southern traditions, spicy and hot. I enjoyed the tastes and the thoughtful culinary exploration. If love to cook and love food this is it.

They don't even serve grits at this location! So I would suggest you stick to the Minneapolis location if you want a really unique dining experience and exceptional food.

Simple dishes, nice variety of savory meats and side dishes. Creamed spinach with jalapeno is great, not too spicy. Cornbread is hot and tasty. Casual dining experience. Parking lot is tiny- and off street parking can be hit or miss. Friendly staff. Clean modern converted space. Outdoor dining is away from the street.

The building looks like an old, converted muffler shop, and has been cleverly remodeled into a cozy eatery. We enjoyed dinner on a Thursday night, and it was packed. We needed a table for 5 and the hostess worked things out with a smile. It was a real crowded, urban experience, with plenty of conversation and laughter to fill the... More

Walked in and it didn't look like much, had the side door was a garage door, kind of cool feel to the place.......but the bbq is amazing. Had the chicken, ribs, brisket and pulled pork. The stand out was the brisket. 14 hours of smoked awesomeness! My friend liked it so much that he got a whole one to go... More

I had the chicken in a pepper sauce and my friend ordered the gumbo. Unfortunately both tasted bland. The service and ambience were great but the food was disappointing.

Brasa catered a family wedding recently (off site).....they did a fantastic job! The staff was right on point--friendly, courteous and really efficient. They served up wonderful fall appetizers and hot apple cider at the outside event.....and inside, set up a great buffet. Really liked the autumn squash /mixed veggie side dish. Hats off to the staff on the great service... More
