OK so its pasta. But you get a side of snide, snot-nosed condescending rudeness to go along with your inflated bill. Just say why?

I received a gift certificate for this restaurant... I wasn't expecting much except for a decent meal, but to my surprise, it was a great meal. We arrived around 5:30 to be greeted with a great table and told of happy hour occurring until 6pm, we ordered a couple of drinks, artichokes and risotto balls... Both were deep fried, but... More

This visit was to celebrate a birthday for 2 people. Although there is seating outside, on the sidewalk, we had reservations indoors. Outdoor dining is great at times, but during rush hour in St. Paul you contend with noise, traffic and pedestrians walking along. Inside our waitperson was very quick to bring us a caraff of ice water and explain... More

We went for a 10 course wine dinner here, so I feel I tried enough items to get a sense of their potential. Many of the items served had something peculiar about them - salami and olives on a stick with a sauce that tasted just like ketchup, shrimp wrapped in proscuitto that was so heavily smoked it tasted like... Now that it's summer in Minnesota, people are out looking for sunshine and happy hours. This great neighborhood place provides both with excellent wines at a discount from three to six. The bartenter is excellent and personable without being over bearing. You are provided water, fresh foccacia and olive oile with your wine or beer order. The appetizers are excellent... More

Had reservations tonite for dinner at Scusi - was not disappointed! The wine selection and the food was very good. My husband had the Lamb Ragu, I had the Braised Beef and both were very good! We've relocated here from NY and have been looking for some good Italian places. Tonite, Scusi did not disappoint! Our waiter, James, was excellent... More

Scusi restaurant, located in the heart of St. Paul's historic neighborhoods, caters to an after work crowd of neighborhood people. If they didn't have the neighborhood factor, I don't know that I'd go back. The bar is a lively spot where you might run into someone you know. The bartenders are farther than usual away from the folks at the... More

While we love all the fresh made pasta, the beet salad (if you're into root vegetables, and you should be) is the best I've had. Loaded with fresh deep purple beets and balsamic reduction, topped with a wonderful thick slice of blu cheese, drizzled in a honey glaze. Even the small salad is enough for two.

Scusi is one of those restaurants that gets an unrealistic local buzz … so much so that you are afraid to speak the truth for fear of ridiculed by those who speak so highly of the place. I may be in the minority, but I don’t like anything about this restaurant. It is pretentious, uninspired and overpriced. The menu offers... More

First of all let me say we have been to Scusi a hand full of times but was our best experience to date. Our server Elizabeth was very pleasant and she made us feel like we had no reason to be rushed even though there was a wait for tables. She did ask us if we would be willing to... More
