Loved the food here. However, it was tight seating already 11:30 a.m. There were 8 of us - hard to hear those at other end of table. Service was ok, but not spectacular. I had the mushroom Swiss burger with battered green beans - delicious!

We decided to try the Blue Door Pub based on the reviews. We were surprised to have a 45min to hr. wait at that time, but the wait was worth it. The Jiffy burger was awesome as was the Cajun burger. Also tried the mushroom and Swiss which was just okay. Jalapeño bites wrapped in bacon were amazing and so... More

I have been going to the blue door for years, this was our go-to place!!! I have recommended this place to people all over the world when coming to Minnesota... not any more. My friend and I walked in and while waiting for a table ordered a beer, upon order I discovered my drivers license was expired. understandably he cannot... More

First saw it on Diners and Dives so decided to check it out. Get ready for a 45 minute + wait, but to grab a Juicy Lucy and a Moose Drool, it's the place to be. It isn't fancy, but it is a typical neighborhood tavern that serves great, and I mean great, burgers.

I know a lot of people love the Blue Door for their jucy Lucy's...to be honest, not my favorite...I mean they're definitely not bad, just not my fav. Their spam balls however are absolutely delicious. And the atmosphere is fun.

I had heard a lot about the Blue Door Pub and got to experience it on Fri Jan 10, 2014. My first impression was how small and crowded the restaurant was. Arriving around 6:15 on a Friday evening, we waited about 45 minutes to get a booth. A very pleasant waitress came by with fried pickle appetizers for us to... More

First impression was of a very popular eating and drinking establishment. A good selection of beers at reasonable prices. We queued for 45 minutes for a table and had our appetisers whilst standing up waiting. To the burgers which were recommended by our Minnesotan hosts. To me they were just burgers and fries with the burgers jazzed up with cheese... More

My husband and I live very close to Blue Door and it is easily our favorite burger place in the Twin Cities. We've brought visitors from out of town on more than one occasion. I love the Cajun Lucy and my husband loves the Luau. I've also had the Frenchie which is delicious. They also have a couple tater tot... More

This is a great place for a beer or two and great burgers, plus they have tater tots! It's small, and was very crowded when we went, but we found a table and loved the zeitgeist of the place. Would definitely recommend!

I have been here several times, in hopes of a better experience, because we live really close. The food is mediocre. It's all very greasy and the "blucy" is the same as any other juicy Lucy. The service is always apalling unless the owner is there to babysit the staff. The servers are more interested in chatting and flirting than... More
