SPAM Bites!

If you want a really good burger this is the place. And of course the SPAM Bites are a fabulous Minnesota treat! Because it is a small place you might want to visit during off hours unless you enjoy waiting a while for a table.

I still prefer the Nook for burgers but the Blue Door is my second favorite. Their Tatar tots cannot be missed. The Jiffy burger is their classic burger with peanut butter and bacon. There is always a wait at lunch time so go before noon or after 1:30.

What a fun and upbeat place! Lucky for us we arrived about 2:00 p.m. and was able to find a booth without waiting. But, the place was almost full at that hour. We quickly found out why: The friendly and responsive service was top-notch. Equally fantastic were the burgers we ordered, a Blucy with blue cheese and a burger with... More

We went here for lunch with four adults, a preschooler, a toddler and an infant without realizing how small it was. It was crazy busy at 1:30 on a Tuesday afternoon so I can imagine how busy it gets at night. We had a 40 minute wait so we walked around the antique store next door. The host managed to... More

It was crazy busy the night we went in there, over a 40 minute wait. The waiting area is super cramped, but you can order beer from the bar and hang out. Even though it was nuts, our server was great. The Jiffy Burger really is all it is hyped up to be - a must try for any Twin... More

Great food (burgers are top notch) and great atmosphere. Small establishment so expect a wait - especially on the weekends. Kid friendly even though they are small - crayons and coloring book provided. Definitely will be back.

Okay... I really didn't expect to have the tastiest burger ever... but I did! My husband and I just finished a great day at the St. Paul Ice Fishing show and stopped in at this little pub at around 4:30'ish on Friday night. The wait was about 20 min to be seated so we zipped over to the antique store... More

The Jiffy Burger, tho yes sounds weird, is hands down my fav burger...tho by no means the only good burger. Yes the place is splitting at the seams with people trying to get a table at some hours, so you may need to have a beer or two while you wait, but I have been away from the cities for... More

It's a tiny place so you'll probably have to wait for a table but it will be well worth it. Hands down best burger joint in the metro and probably the state. The last time I tried a burger w bacon and peanut butter on it, sounded really weird but they did not disappoint. It was just as awesome as... More

Living in the Twin Cities, we occasionally get on a "Jucy Lucy" kick. The Blue Door has a great version with Bleu cheese called the Blucy. The turkey burger is also one of the best around. Very small restaurant, and there is usually a wait. Wait staff is efficient but hurried.
