A relaxing evening

I was a little hesitant to eat at Salut, because I thought it might be some kind of fancy French restaurant. However, the added "Bar Americain" part of the restaurant put me at ease. The food was very good. I was with a group, and very few took advantage of any French-themed items. Everybody... read more

The outdoor scene is fun, and the restaurant has kitchy and quirky things that are witty. For example, they have an online menu in English, and French. When you ask for the menu in French you get a prompt saying,"It has been determined you do not speak French." The food is not very good. We keep going wanting it to... More

We sat for 20 minutes and were ignored by every single server, while tables of people who came after us were waited on. We finally had no choice but to walk out. I've eaten here before, but the food is definitely not worth the lousy service. Trust me, go elsewhere.

Had a wonderful experience at Salut yesterday. They do take reservations on OpenTable, which made that very convenient. Weather was nice enough to sit outside on the deck, which is very pleasant, but we opted to eat in the dining room. The decor is nicely done in French bistro/cafe' design and the seating arrangements (a booth) allowed for comfortable conversation.... More

Met my kids at Salut for a Saturday afternoon brunch and I was very disappointed with my crab cakes Benedict. They tasted very strange and they were just not good. I ordered a side order of bacon and it came out very cold and greasy. The cheesy hash browns were the best part of my meal. My kids seemed to... More

Initially I wasn't too excited about Salut because I thought it was too expensive. Relative to nearby restaurants it is definitely on the higher end (within 1 mile or so). Over the last couple years though it has become a favorite. They do an excellent job with their mixed drinks. Their syrups are made by hand which is nice and... More

My wife and I ate hear last weekend and I have to say I am not much of a fan of French food but our meal was really good! Not the priciest place in town And the service was pretty good.. I tried the hanger steak and it was cooked to perfection. My wife had the pork\pasta dish and loved... More

Excellent muscles and a good oyster bar. Friendly staff. Des pommes frites that are almost as good as the humor one can derive from hearing the name mangled in good Minnesotan. Drink prices are not a bargain, but neither are they a rip off.

You should not be disappointed with whatever you order from an America hamburger to a seafood crepe. There for lunch today and had steak tartare appetizer, French onion soup. The baguette is fresh and crispy on the outside. You will order seconds of the bread. Nice selections of wines as well of beer. The desserts were delightful. For top notch... More

We were a little apprehensive because the place appeared kind of "trendy". We requested a booth when making a reservation, because the hostess indicated it could get a little loud and a booth would be quieter. The place was packed on a Friday night, but our booth was ready for us and were more than pleasantly surprised by the extensive... More
