Pretty good but not great..

I my Kung Pao beef was served kinda luke warm. That's always a turn off for me. It was pretty flavorful though.

I try lots of dim sum places and always end up coming back here. Whether it is the siu mai, har gow, shrimp rolls, and sometimes even the xiao long bao (shanghai mini juicy buns)...everything is excellent.

Went to Yangzte today(Jan4/15)for our first dim sum experience in Mineapolis since moving here from Canada. We used to go for Dim Sum in Toronto which has its own Asian area of the city called "China Town". The Dim Sum in Toronto was incredible at this one place called the "Black Pearl" and we ate there quite often over the... More

Our server was a star! Great sense of humor and timing. Food was predictable fresh hot and tasty. Familiar red zodiac placemats. Happy families all around. Clean restrooms. Perfect pre movie stop.

We arrived at 11:30, easy parking, place was packed with diners and entryway was full with groups waiting for a table. Our party of two was seated in less than five minutes, so much for that challenge. Restaurant opens at 10 a.m. on Saturday and Sunday, dim sum only. If you are reading this at the current time, dim sum... More

I wanted my pre-Christmas treat. I ordered the walnut chicken. It didn't have MSG which is important. But lacked a lot of flavor. included cookie but no soy sauce, was I supposed to ask? Lots of other Chinese places to try over this one.

Lunch buffet was super average. The place looks tired and with so many other options near the West End I won't be back. The buffet serving station looks old. The food was not that good. I know it's been around for a long time but maybe I should have ordered off the menu? I wanted to like it. I did.... More

My family and I have been eating dim sum in the Twin Cities area for the past 20 years, and in other cities before that. I have eaten dim sum in San Francisco, Chicago, Toronto, and Philadelphia. Yangtze's dim sum has never been better - it is possible they have new chefs or new owners, not sure. My family and... More

We liked the vegetarian soup and the lo mein. Shrimp dishes were fine. The tofu was just OK, as were the egg rolls.

Absolutely mobbed for weekend lunches but, once you taste the offerings from the dim sum carts, you'll ignore the screaming kids. Most tables are reserved for large groups, so there's a fairly long wait for 2-4 people.
