A little disappointing

We have dined at Nick's 3rd floor restaurant a few times and been satisfied. Last night we invited friends to join us. They had never been to Nick's and unfortunately it wasn't the best experience we've had. Not sure if they were under staffed but our server was not the most attentive--taking quite... read more

Met two other couples for dinner at Nick's on Saturday and absolutely loved the food and fantastic selection of local craft beer. The special was a linguini with a seafood sauce that was outstanding. My wife had the Parmesan Encrusted Walleye and the portion was huge and absolutely delicious. Plus the building is so cool. We will definitely be back!!

One of the oldest and coolest buildings in the area. A land mark and right next to a little theater too so, dinner and a play? The upstairs dining areas are unlike any other place I've ever been.....many levels, small nooks - even one haunted one. Go take a look - it's cool. Don't remember what the food was like...was... We love Nick's 3rd Floor restaurant but it is ruined by the skank pit you need to walk through on the way to and from dinner. How embarrassing to leave a beautiful dinner with our guests only to have "suck my ____!" (Not bleeped out) playing loudly in the bar on the way out. Not to mention the cloud of... More

The food was a bit pricey ... There was not much under $12. (Except maybe a bowl of soup). We split a turkey club - which was tastey with their spicy aioli sauce. A basic burger was $12 but did come with Fries, so that helped. The service was good overall (bartender did drinks and meal service).

I made reservations with Nick for a 60th anniversary. When we arrived we were put on a tabled that wobbled no linens. 3 entrée's not available at 7.PM. the tator hot dish was so greasy I could not eat it and the staff was not trained and struggling just to get the food to the table let alone process the... Friday lunch was at D.B. Searle's in their banquet area. Pulled pork sandwiches, a great salad, tomato basil soup, and drink was the menu and it was terrific. Then we came back for dinner that evening with the choice of steak, chicken, or ravioli. The salad had vinaigrette dressing. And then there was our "re-birthday" cake. The dinner was for... More

I love this place!!, I've celebrated birthdays, and have had many dinners with close ones and relatives at D.B.'s The building itself is historic and holds a high place in the hearts of many of the locals of St. Cloud MN, myself included...great place, always classic.

Ok, I'm not a whiner and I hate to give a place a bad review but our experience today was well below par. Sunday afternoon, middle of the Vikings game, place less than ½ full. Starting with a small, weak cocktail, I ordered their classic burger - advertised as a ⅓ pound (precooked). Brother ordered sliders. Waiter tells us they... More

My mom and I wanted to eat at a "farm to table" restaurant while in town a few weeks ago and were glad to find this as an option. We arrived quite late (9:45 PM) and we weren't sure if we'd get in since they close at 10 PM. We were ready to accept the fact that we were too... More
