Historic atmosphere, excellent food, good service.

We enjoyed a wonderful meal at "Nick's Third Floor" at D.B. Searles. St Cloud is lucky to have a great variety of wonderful restaurants. Four of us had dinner on a Wednesday evening and all our meals tasted great: DO Burgers, Shepherd's Pie, and Maple Salad. The sweet potato mash as a side was... read more

Years ago, this was a favorite place to eat. Went a week ago and it was horrible. The hamburgers were dried out and tasteless. Mashed potatoes were cold and too sweet. Employees off shift were loud and distracting. Prices were high for this type of experience. Service was slow and she I'd nothing when told how bad the food was.... More

Food sucked. Wine sucked. The building is sweet! Service was good. I had salad and beef stew. Both were average. Stew seemed microwaved. House salad and dressing were bland. Red wine tasted spoiled like vinegar. Would maybe try a second time but would not recommend. Would definitely go back for a beer though. Beer menu was very comprehensive.

We were given many options for a dinner-on-your-own for the Tuesday night of our conference. I am very glad that we chose Nick's Third Floor for our meal! It's close proximity to the convention center and our hotel eliminated the need to drive. The walk was very pleasant. Upon entering D.B. Searle's we were warmly welcomed and informed of our... More

My husband and I just moved to the St. Cloud area. We have been in search of the cities best steak. We both ordered a $28 NY Strip with garlic mashed potatoes. It was horrible. The steak was gristly and did not merit the $28 price tag. The garlic mashed potatoes were very odd, as they had carrots and celery... More

Met two other couples for dinner at Nick's on Saturday and absolutely loved the food and fantastic selection of local craft beer. The special was a linguini with a seafood sauce that was outstanding. My wife had the Parmesan Encrusted Walleye and the portion was huge and absolutely delicious. Plus the building is so cool. We will definitely be back!!

One of the oldest and coolest buildings in the area. A land mark and right next to a little theater too so, dinner and a play? The upstairs dining areas are unlike any other place I've ever been.....many levels, small nooks - even one haunted one. Go take a look - it's cool. Don't remember what the food was like...was... We have dined at Nick's 3rd floor restaurant a few times and been satisfied. Last night we invited friends to join us. They had never been to Nick's and unfortunately it wasn't the best experience we've had. Not sure if they were under staffed but our server was not the most attentive--taking quite a bit of time to bring out... More

We love Nick's 3rd Floor restaurant but it is ruined by the skank pit you need to walk through on the way to and from dinner. How embarrassing to leave a beautiful dinner with our guests only to have "suck my ____!" (Not bleeped out) playing loudly in the bar on the way out. Not to mention the cloud of... More

The food was a bit pricey ... There was not much under $12. (Except maybe a bowl of soup). We split a turkey club - which was tastey with their spicy aioli sauce. A basic burger was $12 but did come with Fries, so that helped. The service was good overall (bartender did drinks and meal service).
