Comfortable, friendly environment! When our cheesesticks came I was impressed. They appeared hand battered and delicious. When the Nachos came we could not believe it! The plate was piled high with layer after layer of goodness. We could not even finish 1/4 of it. It was yummy. Super nice waiter!

Known for their burgers. Really good fried onion rings, although server might have mentioned the up-charge from the fries, since he marketed the onion rings. Overall, probably the best burger in town other than typical fast food. Wish it wasn't quite so pricey, about 25% higher than should be expected for food, ice tea, and atmosphere. Bet their clientelle would... More

Newt's has a great menu to choose from. The portions are generous and the burgers are fantastic. The craft beers available compliment the pub style food!

Newt's has received several awards for best burgers and we saw and tasted first-hand why this was true. Service was excellent; kind of laid back, but never leaving you wanting for anything. The house Malbec was very good. My wife had Marvin's Burger which was great. I like to customize my burgers and this was no problem at Newt's. I... More

Casual pub atmosphere with roomy booths. Great place to meet a few friends for lively conversation & really good food. We always split a burger & fries and one order of nachos between 2 of us and go home with leftovers. Service is always excellent!

First started going there a few years ago...always good food, friendly staff. It is a challenge go up those stairs in the winter and parking downtown is a challenge everywhere. Otherwise would recommend to anyone staying downtown or working downtown..can't go wrong:-)

They have several burgers to choose from which are very good but I LOVE the breaded fish sandwich. It is huge and so flakey with a wonderful beer batter coating. I eat here every time I am in town. I do prefer the downtown restaurant better.

A variety of burgers occupy the menu of this hole-in-the wall bar in downtown. Located above the more expensive (and not as tasty) City Cafe, Newts is much more casual. I've grown to love the Marvin Burger, with "spicy" mayo as well as the Dave (?) with a fried egg on top. Others include the "Fatty Melt" a patty melt... More

The service was very prompt. We ordered burgers and they were made to order. We were served quickly and our burgers were really good. This restaurant was recommended to us and we were happy with the food and service.
