This is such a nice change from the dreary old Kahler I met the chef what an arrogant jerk he is. Does nothing except brag about his food and it is terrible. Macs has good down home food at a cost well below the Kahler take the time and walk the fifty yards to Macs

Lovely outdoor dining on a nice afternoon. Great location, looking at the fountain and soaking in the warmer weather. I had a burger that was OK. A bit too much bread, and the carmelized onions weren't really done well enough. For my tastes, which tends toward rare, the burger was a bit more well done than I like. The side... More

Went at lunch time, and found the service to be slow, but friendly. The food was bland, and some of our meals were cold, while others found their specials of the day to be dried up

This is one of the most convenient restaurants to the Mayo Clinic. It has good indoor seating when the weather is too hot or too cold, and it has a nice sidewalk eating area for when the temperature is just right. One of the things we like is that they serve breakfast food all day. The food was excellent, and... More

Very good downtown diner with a big menu and great comfort food. Nice variety of Greek and American fare and breakfast served all day. This was our first visit and we will be back. We went on a Sunday afternoon but there was still a good crowd there. Good portions on all our meals and great baklava. No problem recommending... More

After walking all over Rochester, we were eager to sit. Outdoor seating in shade of building on very warm day. The Service was spotty as we three arrived about 1:30, one at a time to the table. The food was what we expected and needed. This is just a great place to rest and recharge with a great variety on... More

Mac's Grill is a long-time Rochester institution just a block from the Mayo Clinic. Great location on a pedestrian mall with outside seating. Had moussaka which was good (no beer on tap though)but the Greek side salad was delicious. So good, in fact, that we went the next noon for the larger dinner salad. Then we went back for it... More

It was a scorching hot Sunday, and we were strolling around downtown Rochester. Few things were open on this day, but we enjoyed walking and exploring the downtown. A cold drink was in order, and we stopped in at Mac’s for a glass of cold lemonade. I guess I should have viewed the menu first, but there was nothing to... More

Recently had lunch in this throw-back-in-time type diner in downtown Rochester. Convenient to Mayo Clinic, the service was good and the food even better. They have several Greek choices, yummy. Hubby had what he called the best ever banana cream pie. We sat at the counter and made new friends while having lunch. Warning, this place packs people in so... More
