Our group was looking for a reasonable place to have dinner on a Saturday night. We decided to walk to Mac's and we were greeted with a smile and they did not have a problem seating our large group. Marcus was our waiter and he did an excellent job keeping all the orders correct and not being flustered at having... More

I love Macs! I eat there for breakfast or lunch about once every month. The waffles and pancakes are really good and they serve them with brown sugar butter. I also really like the Greek omelette. Always excellent service. Give it a try!

Each time I am in Rochester I eat at MAC's as many times as possible. I mainly order the Greek Omelette. I have been to Greece and can say that this is about as authentic as you will find in the States. The Greek owner is now semi-retired and his son is taking over. LOVE THIS PLACE!

I feel ungrateful for dissing the food here, since we had wonderful service, and the owner graciously offered us complimentary baklava, simply because we expressed interest in the history of the restaurant. Unfortunately, the food is a very pale imitation of a good Greek taverna. I suggest the owners spend some time in Greece, reacquaint themselves with good olive oil,... More

I ordered a salad to go and asked how much a fruit bowl was. I was told $3.99 so I said ok. I got my food to take back to my hotel room. I was totally surprised to find 2 strawberries and 14 blueberries for $3.99. I called and spoke to the person who took my order and he said... More

The location is very nice and the waiter was really professional. Food could be better a bit, and it is on the higher price. Still was enjoyable.

Stopped here for lunch while visiting Mayo Clinic. Quite a few tables outside for dining but ate inside in case of rain. Was seated promptly and given menus. There is quite a selection to choose from. Decided on a gyro which was served with a side. The gyro was very good and plenty enough for lunch. Prices were a little... More

Because my husband was having tests done that required him to stay in the Mayo Clinic vicinity we decided to try Mac's for breakfast. Was surprised by how expensive the items were, but gave it a shot. Three very small slices of french toast for my husband with eggs and sausage was $10. Coffee was another $2.50 and wasn't very... Lovely outdoor dining on a nice afternoon. Great location, looking at the fountain and soaking in the warmer weather. I had a burger that was OK. A bit too much bread, and the carmelized onions weren't really done well enough. For my tastes, which tends toward rare, the burger was a bit more well done than I like. The side... More

A recent trip to Rochester found my wife and I in search of brunch on a weekday morning. Since we were visiting the Clinic, and Mac's Diner is a short walk out the door, we decided to go there again. We were lucky enough to grab one of the outside tables blocked from the sun, allowing us to enjoy the... More
