We stopped in Michaels's one day for lunch. Decor gives the place a very homey feeling. Food was very good and we enjoyed talking with the server as it was towards the end of lunch hour and the other parties in the Library (the section of the restaurant where we sat) had left. Will definitely eat here again if we... More

For atmosphere, I rate Michael ' s as excellent. It has a very "old school" classy feel to it. This is a must stop for dinner in Rochester. The servers are mature, professional and polite. My husband had the 16 ounce New York Strip and I had the Alaskan Halibut special. The halibut was a very generous portion ( about... More

Everything about this experience was memorable, from the valet parking to the warm greeting, to the excellent service throughout the meal in a lovely traditional atmosphere. But of course the best part was the purpose of the evening — the dinner. We first shared an appetizer of the crab and spinach dip, which was especially satisfying. For my entree I chose... More

My wife surprised me with a special night in Rochester since I was going to in Germany (without her) for a few weeks right after this. She chose Michael's because 40 years ago my parents used to drive 90 miles back to Rochester just to eat here. This was actually my first time though it had been on my restaurant... More

I was taken to this restaurant by a friend who boasted about the lamb chops of this place. It is very traditional in its look and feel. We started with Pappas Avgolemono soup - a grecian chicken soup - very tasty. We then shared the lamb chops and the Sirloin steak - both made really well. Service is very professional... More

Though there are countless modern upscale restaurants in our area, this is the classic that has been around for 50+ years. Of Geek origin, there is spanekotpiropetese appetizer and saganaki flaming cheese appetizer, which was served at our son and daughter-in-law's Grooms dinner. Greek avgolemeno soup is a favorite with rice and lemon. We always start with those light onion... More

Was recommended by a local person and not disappointed. This is a Rochester highlight. A bit pricier than most but worth it for the ambiance and quality of food but not overpriced for what you get. Glad I found this treasure.

Michael's is the favorite restaurant of our friend in Rochester who we were visiting. I had prime rib (perfectly cooked medium) and my wife had shrimp (delicious huge prawns). Topped it off with the raspberry bread pudding (very tasty). Wonderful service, atmosphere, and convenient valet parking. We don't usually do an upscale restaurant like Michael's but it was not overly... More

After a trip to the Mayo Clinic Michael's has become one of our favorite restaurants! Everything we have had has been delicious and last evening we enjoyed an scrumptious 9 oz. tenderloin topped with luscious mushrooms. Great service; our waitress made certain everything was prepared exactly as we asked for. We highly recommend this restaurant!
