I have dined here 3 times, and reviewed this place once before. I feel compelled to do so again. This time we were seated in the "Library room", our first. Everyone should know that each room has it's own unique style and decor. The Library is tastefully decorated with fined oil paintings all around. One wall is covered in books... More

My wife and I went here because of a gift card we were given by some friends. I must say, the restaurant was very dark and the decor outdated. Our server was very honest with us when ordering our food, telling us that the King Crab legs I was going to order were over priced and suggested other items. The... More

This place has charm! I don't eat steak but my husband says it is the best! I always order a burger which is really good. Also if they know of a birthday, that person gets a really generous piece of cake (enough for at least two). Staff is friendly and helpful. Would recommend checking it out :-)

While visiting the Mayo Clinic, we wandered around and checked out the local restaurants in the area. After reviewing the menus posted outside at several, we decided to try Michael's. Their special was 2 lobster tails or 1 lobster tail and a steak. Price was much less than we expected and we decided to try it. Although I felt we... More

We have only eaten here once, but were impressed by the large portions served hot and the excellent seasoning of the meal. Having tried other Rochester restaurants that didn't meet our expectations, we were skeptical of the endorsement from the hotel desk clerk. No worry, it all seemed to work. From the "dated" decor to the generous, tasty meals and... More

I have been visiting this restaurant with family ever since we moved to Rochester in 1961. They have just remodeled it. The food hasn't changed much...still steaks, seafood, Greek specialties, drinks, wonderful garlic bread which I eat even though I don't usually eat wheat. Just too good to pass up. Last night I was celebrating my 66th birthday with my... More

This is one of the very best restaurants there is in Rochester. It is on the list of the top choices for several reasons. Appetizers to start are amazing. The pork wing drummettes of pork shanks slowly roasted and served with a bourbon glaze will make you glad you ordered them. The Maryland Lump Crab Cakes are perfect to pair... More

We weren't terribly impressed. My husband loved his prime rib but the rest of the meal was average. I had walleye and it was just "okay". It was rather pricey, the people were a little strange, and the atmosphere was old, musty, and had an odd smell. I doubt we'll return.

You would think that they'd know how to cook a steak perfectly at a steakhouse. The two times that I was there and ordered a steak, both times it was screwed up. The other time I was there(free work lunch), I ordered the broiled walleye and that was the definition of bland. Absolutely no flavor. I'm done with michaels. Overrated,... More

We were told to try this restaurant while we were at the Mayo hospital. Older crowd and old world charm. Great service and food.
