Great home style food. The pork and mashed potatoes are excellent. We came back twice for this item. I also liked the hamburger steak and the desserts are good. This is a simple place with low prices and great food. Why pay big prices at fancy restaurants that serve food that isn't as good as this place?

Grandma's Kitchen is just what you would expect. It is a relatively small restaurant with tables, booths and stools at the counter. The menu is much larger than you would expect for a facility of this size. The portions are large and the price is actually cheap. I would suggest you go to the web site and check it out.... More

This is the food of my Minnesota childhood. OK for outsiders it may not be ver special but my hot beef sandwich had real roast beef, real potatoes and real gravy. When they brought the red jello with canned fruit cocktail I knew I was back in "Lake Wobegon" without the postmodern irony. The clientele were real Minnesotans if a... More

Food is ok, and reasonably priced. This place is pretty busy every time I stop in. I just wished it wasn't so dirty looking, some major improvements would be great.

Nice location close to Silver Lake. You can tell that this is where the locals eat. Good value and right sized portions. Food came out piping hot. We had tried this place at dinner once which wasn't as good. I think breakfast is the meal to go for.

Service here is good. Too bad the food isn't. I had the turkey and dressing dinner. Started with beef and vegetable soup, although I never actually found a piece of beef. Then came the plate chock full of...something. There were large chunks of a white substance which might have once been turkey, covering a thickened mass which could have been... More

I really like this place. Have been going here for breakfast about once a month for the past few years. It has a small-town feel to it. Good food, good price, and friendly waitresses, and great service.

Wonderful old fashioned diner with awesome food. Best fries in town, yes better than McD's. Best breakfast. Real link sausage, unlike most restaurants in Rochester that serve heat'n'serve sausage. Hashbrowns perfectly cooked, crispy outside, tender but not mushy inside. Pancakes and french toast out of this world. Chicken sandwich is to die for. Great specials. Never had anything I didn't...
