Heavenly dessert

Loved the brown butter panacota, and the chef menu tasting course is always fun and a good way to go for the diner that likes to be surprised!:)

We went for lunch, and we'll be returning I'm sure. Good food in a wide variety of choices and attentive servers. Nice variety of beers, wine and more.

A fairly rare casual but sophisticated approach to dining in Rochester, MN. In 3 visits, I was impressed twice and satisfied the third. Pricing seems inconsistent, and on the high side, but I never felt I paid too much given the preparation if occasionally small-plate sized entrees.

Had not been to ZZest in a while. We happened to be there right at the change between lunch and dinner. Service was prompt and a bit bumpy. Gluten free options at that point were extremely limited. A bit disappointing for a restaurant of this caliber. We both had artichoke the beef burger (without bun) aioli . lettuce . mint... More

Zzest has the best cheese boards and pairing in the Midwest. They always have unique local foods. You can't go wrong as long as you have an adventurous palate.

In the midst of chains galore all over Rochester, ZZEST stands out as a funky, independent restaurant where the chef seems to be having fun and the customers are reaping the rewards. On a quick stop while travelling through, we ordered "shares" and pizza--all were delicious, including roasted (blackened?) cauliflower, green salad with grapefruit, and a Marguerita, thin-crust pizza. We... More

Wednesday I came down from the twin cities to have lunch with my daughter in law and granddaughter. My daughter in law suggested Zzest. Enjoyed the food right down to the excellent coffee! Staff was attentive although it was in the beginning of the lunch hour and wasn't too busy. Both fun and relaxing place with a sophisticated menu. Must... More

Unique and delicious, this little cafe won my heat and palate. The food was exceptional with flavors in abundance. The menu choices are small, but there is something for anyone. The tomato soup and grilled cheese are a cut above. My husband enjoyed the pork tacos.

Food: I've been to ZZest probably 3 times now. It is probably the most unique restaurant in Rochester. The menu changes quite a bit but it always contains something I can't pronounce (in a good way) or something I've never tried. I'm not the most adventurous eater, but something about this place draws me out and gives me courage. I've... More

Rochester is oddly devoid of unique places to eat - I was thrilled to find Zzest. The charcuterie and cheese selections were out of this world and the surprise outdoor garden seating in this strip mall location was a true treat. After dinner, the bartender introduced us to a wonderful port selection. Zzest was a lot of fun and a... More
