Elegant dining

Pescara is the finest dining in Rochester. Excellent seafood choices, well prepared. Pretty dining room. Rather expensive as you might expect. Consistently good experience...I have eaten here three or four times over the last year.

We've had dinners at Pescara that were very good and quite expensive. Breakfast is different. It is good quality and service, but surprisingly moderately priced. Service is warm and pleasant. The buffet is quick, but if you aren't in a rush, I recommend ordering food at your table. I had a wonderful omlette chock full of tasty tomatoes, portabella mushriooms... More

Great service, soup and salads are awesome and atmosphere is good. we did not care for the appetizer sampler platter as the crab cakes appeared to be canned crab (IMHO) and the calamari was quite salty and we could not eat it. The shrimp and scallops on the platter were good.

Wow! My husband and I decided to try out this restaurant for the first time to celebrate his 25th birthday. We were served by a lovely waitress who was very personable and friendly. The menu had a wide variety. I asked for a fairly significant change to one of the pasta recipes (to include shrimp instead of lobster and lobster... More

All hotel restaurants are a little pricey, and this is no exception. However, it is not crazy high and so I ate there more than once this visit. The calamari is excellent, great sauces. The hamburger is huge and the fries great. I would eat there even if wasn't staying there!

The food was excellent. They had the best lobster bisque I've ever tasted. The waitress was very sweet and helpful. The staff was friendly, despite my appearance. I was wearing sweats because I had just come from Mayo Clinic. Very pricey, but the food was to die for.

If you enjoy good food, wine and service, you'll love Pescara. It's in the Doubletree Hotel. After a week of test, procedures, poking and prodding at Mayo, I wanted to treat myself to a relaxing evening. I was pleasantly surprised by the service, atmosphere, menu and wine list. It was the best of Maine, Italy and Manhattan in one place.... More

Stayed at nearby hotel. Went to this restaurant and wanted dinner on Tuesday for 8 people, were told its a small restaurant and it was full and "I don't have room for 8". This was late afternoon. Went again Wednesday and in,y two of us at 6p.m. And were told we could have a reservation for 8:15. Looking at menu,... More

Dear Shortcake5352, I am sorry you were unable to get a table to dine two nights in a row. Next time you are in town I encourage you to call ahead for reservations. As you may know, Mayo Clinic is very busy during the week. Therefore, downtown businesses are also quite busy throughout the week. That includes our restaurant. It... More

I love their brunch but hate dinner. I am not a fish eater and I'm really not willing to pay $30 for steak either. They have been out of ingredients for drinks I have ordered multiple times. I wish there were more non-seafood entree options. We actually left because I was so upset when my husband took me here for... More

Nice atmosphere, knowledgeable waitress, great presentation, great welcoming, no table clothes but with nice cloth napkins (black), very very dark, practically impossible to read the menu (most people think it is classy). I ordered a calamari appetizer, the taste and presentation were outstanding, they didn't taste as fresh calamari but they were delicious, I understood night time why, they were... More
