The ads and posted menu sounded just great and creative. The atmosphere and location were fine. But the food was a disappointment. The buffet wasn't kept tidy and the food quality was poor. Our waitress either had been poorly trained or wasn't interested in providing good service. If you do go, order the bread pudding which was the one bright... More

Overnight getaway at the St. James Hotel and discovered this establishment in the old Armory. First item: The young man working the bar/room was outstanding. I asked him if he was the owner and he said no. I told him he should ask his boss for a raise. He was very busy but completely on point with what was going... More

We came here on a Friday night, looking for something different to eat. As a seafood lover, I was excited to see there was a fishy fry. Buffet limited in selection and quality. Family liked their burger and chicken.

This was a bit hidden - lower level place to eat close to Main St. We had to go back the next day to enjoy the food. We were there for a late lunch and I had the burger which was on a wonderful toasted fresh bun. The burger tasted great and I would go back again. My friends both... More

Let me preface this by saying my rating is strictly based on what we had to eat and drink, but that wasn't a lot. We weren't there for a big meal. Good friendly service. Seated quickly. We visited on a Sunday afternoon. Drinks arrived quickly. One of us had the house riesling, and it was pronounced decent. One had a... More

My husband and I have experienced the most delicious stuffed burgers and homemade onion rings!! We have been coming to Red Wing for years and patronizing another local restaurant until last year when we ran across Marie's!! the 2 Bartenders were very nice and we have found our new favorite place for food and drinks!!stuffed burgers, onion rings and cheese... Okay, hopefully it doesn't seem like I'm getting loose with the 4 star reviews, but seriously, for the price of Marie's Underground (not called Casual Dining & Lounge anymore), you get some awesome and unique food. We started with a flight of beers (they have a stellar list), their homemade potato chips and cheese dip, and cheese curds with their... More

We were just visitng for a day in Red wing so we decided to have dinner here. It was around 5 PM and noone was in the bar/restaurant...it was dead. The place is really nice and huge and it was odd they didn't have anyone there until we looked at the menu. Did not look good at all. The place... More

We went for the "family style" breakfast and bloody mary bar. The bloody mary bar was great, but the food was just OK. Nothing special, but not bad. It's pretty dark, and the decor is dull. I'm guessing this is more of a late-night burger-and-beer place. Looked like they had a good tap list.

My husband loves fish fry, and Marie's is an old standby for that meal. The food is really, really utilitarian...nothing special and definitely typical for this part of the country. Some of the wait staff are a hoot.
