My partner and I had lunch and dinner here over 2 days. We had the grass fed beef burger, egg sandwich, Reuben sandwich, banana cream pie and a couple of different soups. The beer and wine list was extensive, the Mirror Pond Pale Ale was awesome. The food was very respectful, most being free range, organic and locally sourced. The... More

Super gluten free friendly, and not your average small town coffee shop. Rainbow Cafe in Pine Island is a true find. Extensive wine & beer selection, varied menu choices from full entrées to salads and awesome burgers. The environment is clean relaxed and very comfortable. Want abundant GF choices? Owners of Rainbow have this nailed right down to several delicious... More

When you walk in, you think it is a small town burger & pie café. Then look at the menu. WOW! This place should have a fancy name, like some restaurants in the big city. In my travels, the menu and food presentation remind me of Carmel-by-the-Sea, CA. Only in CA, the cost is about twice as much, and not... More

Great food ... Most all items are made with fresh food from local farms! We had the potato soup and walleye sandwich. Delicious!

Went with a group of 6 adults. Very disappointing. We all ordered something different for dinner. My range free chicken was bloody, my friends lamb was fatty with hardly any meat on them, the BBQ Ribs were all bone and no meat as well. The wait staff was uninformed regarding items on the menu. The portions were very small. Menu... More

We had our 3rd visit in about as many years. They have a standard menu plus a varied seasonal menu using many organic locally grown vegetables and meats. Most in our party was in an evening sandwich mood: the blueberry pork was very good and the standard reuben also was quite tasty along with a small portion of some excellent... More

Rainbow Cafe has done it right. Local Grass feed Beef, local pork, handmade and homemade soups and desserts. I bring both Family and Clients here. My favorate is one of the winter squash soups when it is in season and the cheese tray with a bottle of wine.

We biked from Rochester to Pine Island on the Douglas Trail and had lunch at the Rainbow. It was amazing! I had the arugula, goat cheese and beet salad with yummy bread and iced tea. A fabulous whipped dessert followed. I can't believe I've neverbeen here before.

This little cafe in a small town is well worth the drive, or in our case bike ride. The sandwich selection is inventive and delicious. I had a duck cherry entree that was absolutely outstanding! Their soups are amazing and again, so creative. One of the owners was a former pastry chef, and boy can you tell it in the... More

Unique dining in small town. We stopped for lunch and had the chicken/apple sandwich and pulled pork sandwich. My husband considers himself an expert on pulled pork and ranked this as the best he'd ever had. Interesting soups and salads. Reasonable prices. The Rainbow Cafe has a reputation for fine dining, but we'd never tried it until now. We'll definitely... More
