Breakfast on the farm

Their slogan "Not a half bad place to eat" tells it all. The whimsical touch of North Woods humor carries through in the decor. Have you ever eaten next to a genuine Fordson tractor? The food is good and you get a lot of it. The only thing the service is very slow and tends to help the hometown customers more than the visiting travelers. I would recommend that you call and make reservations ahead of time (Saturday & Sunday) otherwise you are going to wait forever.

Good family restaurant. Service is usually good. I prefer their breakfasts. Charming atmosphere with farming motif.

Good old fashioned farm food in a modern large open spaced Quonset surrounded by history. Excellent liver and onions!

My husband and I had the Philly sandwich. It was very good! Bun fresh, melted cheese just right. Place clean. Place decorated with farm stuff. We were there mid afternoon on a Sunday. Not too busy, Service was good, she checked on us several times. Will go back.

Wanted to try a nice little restaurant downtown, but they were closed on Sunday afternoon. Service was excellent. Food ok.

It's a great greasy spoon breakfast with large portions & reliable flavor. Lunch & dinner not recommended. Cavernous space invokes farm life... I guess. Their motto, "Not a half bad place to eat," pretty well sums it up.

We stopped at the West Forty restaurant on a Sunday morning. Luckily we beat the church rush! Waitress was fantastic. No rushing us to order. Brought coffee and water right when we sat down. She gave us a few recommendations. When the food was brought to our table it was hot. Even the toast! Portions were huge. We were very... More
