Stopped for drinks at Cru. Enjoyed the atmosphere and the wine flights. It is always nice to try something new and the wine flights give us that option.

Although Cru is hidden in the subterranean chamber of a convention center, it is possibly one of the best restaurants in the Brainerd lakes area. The staff is welcoming and knowledgable about the menu and wine. There is a full bar as well (try the Cool Mary!). We were thrilled by the use of truffle oil in the shoestring potatoes... More

Cru started out fantastic, but service and quality tended to drop as the summer went on..Located at Grandview Lodge and a wonderful atmosphere. Cozy fireplace, walk in wine cellar. Pick your own wine out if the wait staff remembers to ask. You can go by boat, but be prepared to walk a ways. Reservations suggested.

Wonderful experience...Will definitely return. Although the wait staff was a little rough around the edges, the ambiance and food quality made up for it. For an intimate evening, make Cru a priority!

I've eaten at Cru every time I've been the the Nisswa MN area. Reservations have never been a problem. The restaurant itself is located on Grandview Lodge's property but you do not need to be staying at Grandview to eat there. The food is well conceived and the preparation has always been enjoyable. Often, we order several plates and share... More

Great wine choices, should have passed on the pub and eaten there again. Steak special was good, service was ok, we ate early, 5:30 because we had little ones. Offered fresh fruit with kids meals. Only down side was they forgot my sons meal,he has to ask where it was, felt they should have comped his dinner. a bit pricy

Dark woods, soft lighting, intimate space and a fireplace. Perfect environment for a creative, romantic and delicious dining experience. The menu is small which made the decision process much easier. The bread is absolutely tasty and is served with two infused butters. The flatbread was interesting-probably wouldn't order again. Grilled Romaine-lacked the "grilled" flavor. Pretzel Encrusted Walleye and Gnocchi with... More

All I can say is, Oh my goodness. This was for my 50th birthday celebration and it was just lovely. I love the cozy environment and that it is rather small and intimate. Julie, the bartender was very sweet and informative. Heather our server was delightful. My husband & I enjoyed the French Fries, a must for an appetizer, the... More
