Very delicious soup, flavourful and hot. As a soup needs to be. The bread was ok, coming from Germany and living in Austria, it is hard to rate.
The menu, which seems to have changed since I was last there, is not particularly interesting and frankly not particularly a deli menu. There were deli items on the menu to be sure, but not to the degree I expect at a deli. The good news is that the waitresses here are great. Just ask for what you want, regardless... More
Having heard great things from my local family about the restaurant, we went for brunch, which was all very fresh, copious and with a lot of variety. It wasn't expensive and the dining area was bright and pleasant. But what made the meal memorable was the phenomenal waitress (short, light-colored, wavy hair, glasses and a non-stop smile) who was a... More
Crossroads Deli's food and service are consistently excellent. We went a couple of weeks ago for a late lunch/early dinner. I had the cabbage rolls and my husband had the reuben. Both were fantastic! Portions were huge -- we had leftovers. We hadn't been there lately for Sunday brunch, so went today. The food is as awesome as we remembered!
Visited a friend and didn't expect to find a deli style restaurant nearby. Tried stuffed cabbage - yum - and blintzes. Went back the next day for Hungarian goulash and a wild rice dish (best rice dish ever. Tried it because you can't visit Minnesota without trying their local wild rice.) Shared these dishes, so don't think I ate my... More
We went there for the first time on a Thursday and had dinner. I liked it so much that I have picked up two take - out orders in the last few days so in less than a week I have had a meal from there three times. Their strawberry chicken salad is supurb! On our eat in excursion we... More
The food and service here is just average and the atmosphere is to. This is a deli so they do have soups, salads and sandwiches. The service is just OK and the staff is fine, but they don't have a ton of experience.
The Crossroads Deli came highly recommended from friends (our being relatively new to the area) We were not disappointed. The food was excellent. We both had the reuben. The corned beef was piled high and tasty. The sides well prepared. The staff excellent, they went out of their way to make sure that we knew our options. We plan a... More
Having lived in Chicago and enjoyed the many authentic delicatessens there, I was anxious to try Crossroads Deli. Although it cost nearly $15, I ordered the Reuben sandwich to split with my friend, envisioning the corned beef piled high. We got a puny sandwich with a barely adequate amount of meat. I have also visited their bakery several times. The... More
