I visited the Reg Stag with a large party of friends and the service was excellent. I ordered the Herb Risotto topped with a fried egg and it tasted so flavorful and fresh. I loved it. I also ordered the relish appetizer which was nothing special but still tasty. The also had a couple of other vegetarian main choices that... More

Hamburger was very average. The paella came out with a brick of rice that was very dry and with overlooked seafood on top of it. The steak was very average. Cheese curds and fries were really good, but that is not what you come to a restaurant like this for.

I visited Red Stag on a Saturday evening with my friend to celebrate a special occasion. We had a very good experience from start to finish! The menu is a modern take on classic supper club fare with fresh, locally sourced ingredients and innovative preparations. We started with a cheese plate which consisted of a delicious assortment of Minnesota and... More

Red Stag sits a stone's throw from the Mississippi in northeast Minneapolis on a quiet but upscale trending revival block. Old buildings house architects and high end jewelery stores. Red Stag is in one of those old, brick and exposed timber places. The bar is large, well stocked and worked by bartenders who know when to shake them and when... More

My sister and her fiancee took my wife and me out for brunch last Saturday. We walked through snow and icy sidewalks to the Red Stag. Inside the atmosphere was very warm and relaxing. I ordered the corned beef, hashbrowns and egg skillet. Excellent. My wife's vegetable and egg skillet was equally yummy. I liked the choice of carbonated or... More

We went to the Red Stag on a snowy Saturday night and had the best Mushroom Risotto I have ever had. I don't know if it was the Truffle oil, but the dinner was exquisite. The other guests ordered different choices (hamburger, Caesar Salad and Chicken Livers) and were equally pleased with their choices. There were lots of young people... More

Never been kissed on NYE, and what better place than the Red Stag Supperclub to change that? The food was amazing the cocktails are simply out of this world. Place is lovely, as is the staff. I couldn't be happier. Plus they offered a flute of champagne to toast in the new year!

As a Minneapolitan, the Red Stag Supperclub has become a standby eatery for our family, but my most recent visit cemented my love for this place. After receiving terrible service at another restaurant (and walking out), my group of 6 ventured over to Red Stag. The host, seeing a look of disgust and disappointment on my face because of the... I have been here on two occasions now and am extremely disappointed in this place - given that this is from the same owner as Barbette, Pat's Tap and also Bryant Lake Bowl. I recently dined with another couple for a Sunday brunch and the place looked like a rock concert had been held there the night before and they... More

We were there during "restaurant week" so we had slightly limited menu. The cocktails were excellent, the bartender clearly knows classic cocktails. Of the two choices on the restaurant week menu, we both had the chicken. It was at best average. They are evidently better known for steaks and chops, so we might give them another try. But based on... More
