Our first time and it won't be our last! Great brunch. Interesting menu options. Our party of 3 each tried something different and all agreed the food was tasty and well prepared.

My wife and I decided to stop at The Red Stag before a Gopher hockey game on October 4th. We had about an hour before we needed to head to the game. We ordered the risotto and monkfish, and both dishes were very good. Our waitress asked once how the dishes were and if we needed any more wine, but... More

A very nice neighborhood gem that is tucked away but is worth the discovery. A great lunch with an significant other is recommended because the food was great and the atmosphere was comfortable. The service was par excellence and with great timing. If I have any complaints it's finding parking which doesn't detract from a very great place to have... More

Recently, we celebrated our wedding anniversary and had read good reviews. We knew that the items on the menu were done a bit differently from the ordinary or expected, but what we had ended up just not being good food, period. My husband ordered the paella and we were warned it was different in that it was "deconstructed" by the... More

My husband and I went to the Red Stag as part of a romantic weekend recently...we ate at several great restaurants, and this is one of them. The Red Stag has a lovely, romantic atmosphere in the evening, if you can get over being seated on top of others. We heard the entire conversation of the couple next to us...but... More

I love returning the Red Stag for many different reasons. The open kitchen and fun vibe are always inviting and whether it is for a quick snack before a concert, dinner with the girls, late night nosh or just a delicious cocktail and some people watching it is always on the list when people ask where should we go! The... More

On a rainy night my wife and I walked here with friends for dinner. We shared the Paella and the Caesar salad. Hands down the best Caesar I've ever had. Can't beat real anchovies. The Paella was decent, I didn't care for the Octopus or Mussels, but everything tasted good. Where this place really shine was in the atmosphere and... More

I visited the Reg Stag with a large party of friends and the service was excellent. I ordered the Herb Risotto topped with a fried egg and it tasted so flavorful and fresh. I loved it. I also ordered the relish appetizer which was nothing special but still tasty. The also had a couple of other vegetarian main choices that... More

Hamburger was very average. The paella came out with a brick of rice that was very dry and with overlooked seafood on top of it. The steak was very average. Cheese curds and fries were really good, but that is not what you come to a restaurant like this for.

I visited Red Stag on a Saturday evening with my friend to celebrate a special occasion. We had a very good experience from start to finish! The menu is a modern take on classic supper club fare with fresh, locally sourced ingredients and innovative preparations. We started with a cheese plate which consisted of a delicious assortment of Minnesota and... More
