We love sebastian joe's and frequent whenever we can handle the calories. =) Our favorite thing to do is get the banana split (the best value) and we love to get oreo, nicollet pot hole, and salted caramel as our three scoops. So delicious!

My son and I love ice cream so when ever we travel we look for a good place to get our ice cream fix. Sebastian Joes was good, slightly over priced ice cream. We both had the Oreo and sat outside to enjoy. The tables are street side but not too busy when we were there. We both enjoyed our... More

this is likely my 2nd favorite spot for Ice Cream, and everything here is good if not great. the chocolate dipped (dark choc.) cones are amazing, and they have a peanut butter/coffee flavor that is awesome. salted caramel isn't as good as izzy's though. the line here was at least 100 people long and im not kidding. many people actually... This ice cream is fantastic. The flavors are rich and satisfying and I have not had one I don't like. In what I would call a fairly saturated ice cream and frozen yogurt market (most of which i've tried) it is quite a compliment to continue to have the success SJ's has. I would definitely recommend this place.

It isn't hard to see why there have been lines out the door every time I have visited Minneapolis. I finally decided to brave the line, and it was worth the time. The magazine covers (dating older than I am) were evidence that this has been a crowd pleaser for decades. I'll be sure to visit again next time I'm... More

Sebastian Joe's is Another Word for Excellence with ice cream. First started going to Sebastian Joe on Franklin and Hennepin about forty years ago. The ice cream was wonderful then and still is. They reinvent themselves many times in those years with new flavors and always come up a winner.

We stopped in to Sebastian Joe's after a meal at The Lowry and i was not that impressed. I sampled the Salted Caramel and it wasn't nearly as good as Izzy's. They had a lot of variety but I have had better ice cream.

We found our way to Sebastian Joes with the family. It was our first visit and they insisted we get samples. I did sample a few kinds, including oreo which was good but went with "Pothole" on a homemade chocolate coconut ice cream cone. I ended up getting 2 scoops but really only needed one. Pothole is very rich but... More

For years we have enjoyed SJ ice cream. The cookies are also great. The location is busy but service is fast. The prices have not changed much in over twenty years. We usually get a quart or a couple pints to go for later. Enjoy!

Before the FroYo invasion of 2013, I was going to SJ's every week with my dairy-loving friends. Recently, we went back for an oddly urgent winter craving, and I remembered why ice cream is so superior. Yes, the lines can be long in the summer. And yes, the pressure of choosing a flavor before you get a chance to visually... More
