Superb Service!

The service we experienced was absolutely outstanding. We were continuously checked on by our waiter, the bread/water waiter and the Maitre D. I disagree that this is not a place for vegetarians. First and foremost, be prepared for a meat coma. If you are not especially carnivorous, the salad bar will suffice. It's not a typical salad bar. It offers a number of cheeses, olives, fruit, and, of course, various sliced meets. The apple salad was magnificent, as was the leafy spinach salad with their basil dressing. The various Brazilian grilled meats... More

I really wanted to love this place and I'm not a food snob. My expectations definitely increase with the price of a meal. The reviews on-line sounded great. The concept is fun, the variety of meats and salad bar sounded appealing, and we were celebrating a special occasion so we decided to splurge ($50/person for meat option plus Minneapolis tax)... Before I start, do not read if you're planning on only spending the minimum amount of money here, you will not enjoy yourself. Honestly, if you're not willing to spend $75/person, don't bother going. You will not enjoy yourself. When you arrive, there is open seating area with a bar near by. Arrive early to socialize with your group and... More

The experience is fun and different but the meat does not rank up with Ruth's or Manny's. The salad bar is awesome and I would suggest if you are not a huge meat eater to stick with just salad bar. The only reason I didnt rate this as very good is because I really think it is over priced and... More

They just do it right. The salad bar is glorious; romaine and bib lettuce, roasted tomatoes, artichokes, asparagus spears, capicola, salami, prosciutto, aged parm, marinated olives, etc. It is easy to make the rookie mistake of indulging here or falling face first into the incredibly enticing popovers. Just don't... Because as soon as you flip that card to green the... More

This is primarily a case of expectations not matching reality. We were selecting a restaurant for my parents' anniversary dinner, and I read so many good reviews of Fogo de Chao that I thought it was a sure winner. It was not what I had in mind at all. The restaurant is extremely loud. It's difficult to hear the server... More

I get meat sweats just thinking about Fogo de Chao (FDC). I mean that in the nicest terms. The meat is well prepared and plentiful. Come hungry. The wait staff is very accommodating. The wait staff is dressed as gauchos. They carry skewers of many different cuts of beef, chicken, etc. If there is a meat you are looking for... More

I was recommended to this restaurant by a fellow gym rat so knew there would be healthy options. For purposes of meat; it was heaven. Selection varied from lamb chop, leg of lamb, chicken, bottom sirloin, top sirloin, garlic beef and prime. In hindsight I would probably skip the marketplace buffet, but if you are looking for a salad to... More
