Really good southern food and great service, although small inside

We visited to try something new and I am happy we did. Food is really good. We shared so we could try more. Loved the collard greens and the corn bread. We also had the beef, which was good, but wouldn't order it again only because it was $19 for a plate. We also tried the gumbo shrimp. It... read more

This place is a mix of some soul food and Latin influences. My favs are the pork, peas and rice, green plantain and yucca fries! The cilantro aoli is ridiculously amazing. If you are ever thinking of a place to go that casual but has really good food go Brasa. I almost want to move to the neighborhood just so,... More

We visited Brasa on the recommendation of a friend and were not disappointed. We were tempted by most everything on the menu, but finally settled on the pulled pork with fried egg and the chiliquilles. Both excellent! Good local beer selections on the menu as well. Server was very helpful in explaining the menu and making recommendations.

When we first moved to Minneapolis, we ate at Brasa several times due to the convenience of being located near our apartment. 7 months later, and we still dine here frequently. We are fans of the rotisserie chicken (sauce on the side is amazing!), smoked beef, crispy yuca, creamed spinach with jalapeño, coleslaw (non mayo based), collard greens, and cornbread.... More

Brasa is one of my families favorite places to go out to eat. Its in such a unique location because the building use to be an old gas station however it is fairly small. If you're going there for dinner I would advise going at about 4:30-5:00 because at about 5:30 its usually packed and you will have to wait.... More

Really enjoyed this Bohemian corner cafe. The food was unique and full of flavor. Enjoyed the flavorful scrambled eggs, grits and salad, as well as the amazing Pulled Chicken Sandwich. We will definitely return. Great place to sip some suds and make good conversation.

This neighborhood place is not fancy, but the food is wonderful, service good, and it is always fun.

Stopped in here for lunch to meet a friend on a warm and sunny spring day. It's a pretty small place with about 4 parking spaces so you might have to scour around the neighborhood (like I did) to find a place to park. Arriving slightly before noon, there was a wait for a table, around 10 minutes, but the... More

Adventurous for Minnesotans, was so glad my son brought me here. Really enjoyed the eclectic vibe, brought some red sauce home for hubby. Try to get there when it won't be crowded (don't know if that ever happens!) because it's small, but worth the wait. I enjoyed trying a few food items I'd never had before, or at least their... This place is small and you may have to wait, because it is quite popular. I like the idea of not having a huge menu, but if you don't like chicken, beef or pork, you are out of luck. The place used to be a service station/garage and they didn't change much - the big doors are still there and... More
