A bit pricey for the experience

I found spill the wine to be a bit over priced for what they deliver... I enjoyed a few glasses of Malbec at $10 a glass and some olives $8 and spaghetti $18... Now I'm not saying people should rush to the Olive Garden but you get little more here and the atmosphere is ok but not amazing. I... read more

It was hard to believe that a restaurant that has wine in its name would serve wine that has been opened too long. I rarely complain about wine but it was obvious that there was a problem, which they promptly corrected but that didn't really take away from the disappointment. The pasta was clunky, and needed of some refinement. The... More

Went to 901 West Lake St. Spill the Wine and it had 3 comfortable booths for seating, all were either taken or reserved. All other seating at small tables with metal chairs. Quite expensive for the food you receive, also noticed on the way out...New Chef and New Menu! Wish we could have tried the Old Menu. Of our entire... More

Stopped for dinner at this new place in the neighborhood and was totally disappointed. The food was not good, the saving grace was the portions were really small. The best part of the meal was the French fries. The chicken and chicken sausage was bland. Blindfolded I would have not guessed it was chicken. The caarot side dish wss also... More

We had gotten a special to try the chef's choices along with two flights of wine. We were SO impressed. Each of the five courses was excellent and we found a couple things we would go back for time and time again. It was fun to try new things and to sample different wines. The service was excellent. Great young... More

This was my second visit - the first visit to their new location and I was looking forward to it. The decor is rustic/industrial cool and the bar looked pretty full during the last half-hour of the Happy Hour. My friend and I got a somewhat absent-minded waitress. I got the house red which was okay and there were not... More

Located at the corner of Lake and Bryant on the south growing revival turning rundown properties into trendy hangouts, Spill the Wine is both modern and cozy. The high ceilings with exposed wood joists, concrete floor, modern lighting fixtures, stainless steel kitchen and suspended fire sprinkler pipes give this place a hard, efficient look. The decorators then put up brick... More

Ever since reading a review of this place in my home town I have wanted to try it. We chose it for our every Friday date night with a friend of ours. We came to the place about 6:45 PM hoping to capitalize on being early. But this is the Midwest. There was a large reservation at 7 PM and... More

Had our xmas party there around 20 people. Drinks a little pricey and an interesting menu. Lots of things were ordered and shared. Really liked the beet salad, the gnocchi, and the cauliflower. Service was ok but not everyone's food came around the same time but we were all busy visiting, not a bad experience but not sure we would... More

We went to Spill the Wine for brunch on a rainy Saturday. The food was good but the service is slow, but we were in no hurry so it didn't matter to us. So in other words if you are in a hurry & need to be somewhere eat somewhere else, but if you have time for a leisurely meal... More
