Four of us ordered about twelve items, (mostly starters) then shared everything family style. We got to try so many items this way! Everything was delicious, but my favorites were the turkish hummus and the chicken and porcini muchroom croquettes. Amazing. Texture and flavor superior to any I've had before. Loved the drinks as well. Very good service and a... More

Saffron was a delight. We went during restaurant week and had a wonderful dinner with friends. As a huge fan of hummus I could have just eaten the appetizer myself but I had to share. We had three courses and each were amazing!!

I couldn't have asked for anything more from this dining experience, other than a slightly more attentive server. The food was fantastic, the menu offered an array of tantalizing selections, and the mulled cider (non-alcoholic) was delicious. I enjoyed the chic yet not-overbearing decor; it was elegant, but comfortable. I'm impressed, (but not surprised after dining here) that this place... More

Saffron has been our Valentines Day choice the past few years. The tasting menu is why we head to saffron. The regular menu is great, but the special tasting menus during the year are worth making the trip downtown Minneapolis. The price is more than reasonable, the greeters are so warm and kind, the waiters have all been professional and... More

Pork belly-- fantastic. Love the beautifully ethnic decor. The chef came out to suggest some small plate items for us. We sat at the bar.

Saffron advertises itself both as a restaurant and a lounge. It's definitely more of a restaurant. The food menu is somewhat limited given the famous chef who runs the place but their food is very good and interesting. Cocktails are great but pricy and the lounge atmosphere is nowhere to be found. A nice detail that the place is not... More

We had the best waitress ever - Clare sp?? The chef checked on our meal and we had a show to attend and they made sure we'd leave in time. EVERYTHING was perfect, amazing flavors, just a celebration of good atmosphere and food to perfection.

We were visiting our friends in MN and they booked a special night out on the town for us. Upon arriving to Saffron, the decor and ambiance was nice. It wasn't overly crowded; not a lively place by any means. Our friends had made us Sat night reservations weeks in advance but we still had to wait 35 minutes for... More

Wide selection of tappas and entrees. Great food and never felt rushed. Very unusual selections and some standard fare. On a Saturday night we spent over 2 hours sampling a variety of tappa dishes. Very relaxing and enoyable evening. Waiter was very knowledgable of menu and bar offerings.

My wife and I live in out-state Minnesota, so when we are in the mpls-st paul area we like to hit some of the top restaurants and Saffron did not disappoint. First, we had a wonderful and attentive server who answered any questions we had and made some great recommendations. For small plates we ordered the fried cauliflower, as well... More
